Update 11/6/2012: No longer for sale, the car is just to good to me.
---
Update 6/10/2012: Recent developments in my life have forced me to consolidate some of my things so I just lowered the price AGAIN!
No more 2 pricing options, I'll be selling the other Tan Houndstooth interior separately.
For $2995 you can get yourself into an e30 that runs great, feels great, and is pretty clean! Based on what I've done with the car you can have a lot of fun with it right from the beginning of ownership or consider taking it to the next level!
---
Update 5/30/2012: I just sent a deposit on a M3 so it's time to really let this one go! Price drop! Car starts up every day and gets me to work, this car will do the same for you! Husco armrest no longer included!
---
Update 5/27/2012: The owner of the M3 (mentioned in the ad previously) I was going to buy decided to keep his car. Completely understandable as his car was beautiful! Since this news, I decided to make my prices firm. I'm back on my hunt... Pictures were taken today and added. I was going to strike out whatever I edited but don't think r3v does [S] or [STRIKE] so sorry if anyone has any confusion on changes.
Please note: Being that this is my daily driver and could sell tomorrow, or never, I'm keeping certain parts on the car for my temporary enjoyment before the car sells such as my authentic smileys, euro grills, short shifter, subwoofers/sub amp. Either option for the sale of the car does include the stock lights and stock US grill.
Being that a lot of the cars parts have been replaced with OEM parts I'd recommend someone looking to save some $ when they start out (or for a DD) to get this car since major things have been done suspension + brakes, etc.

Car is located in Venice, FL.
Selling the ‘86 325es w/ around 190k miles, my first BMW in general, first e30, but not the last. Let me state first off I do not need to sell this car but it makes sense to for me, that said, please do not shoot me offers of $2k. Please also do not thread shit. This car has a lot of strong points but is 25 years old and has imperfections.
Just a heads up about the mileage, the odometer the PO gave me with the car was from an "i" (obviously not original) reading around 170k. Looking at the records of the VIN registration I see that to be pretty accurate but don't know for sure...His cluster had a working odometer. Title stated exempt when I purchased the car. I purchased an eta cluster (with working odometer) that shows over 230k from a forum member. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink
As I've owned an e30 for less than a year, I'm sure I have much to learn about selling/pricing, but shoot me a PM if you have something to say to me. I do however welcome genuine questions about the car and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge.
The car originally had Tan Houndstooth all around which I was going to convert to black leather but decided to do Black Houndstooth instead. It currently has everything Black Houndstooth except for the ski-pass back seat, that was formerly gray which I’ve leatherique’d to black.
I will be doing pricing a couple ways so people can get into this car for cheaper if they’d like. One way will include certain items with the car, and the other way will not.
$2995 FIRM for the car with:
-8/10 BLACK Houndstooth interior (black leather ski-pass back seat though, sedan front sport seats) - driver seat has weird rip on bottom left bolster, shown in pictures.
-Husco Armrest - Keeping this now, does not come with car!
-9/10 Taillights (recently purchased from a forum member)
Currently not installed but will be included:https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink
-New distributor rotor
-New distributor cap
-New spark plug wires - Just installed!
-New rear shock tower mounts/gaskets - Found these, will come with car now!
-New bushing set for rear trailing arms
-New thermostat
-New valve cover gasket
-New oil pan gasket
-New front license plate delete - bumper trim piece
-New taillight gaskets
-New seals bottom seals for front door windows
Some pictures of the car show smileys and euro grill installed, I will be replacing these with the stock headlights and stock US grills for the sale of the car. The low beam on the passenger side is cracked and will need to be replaced as it fills with water. Also, in a separate thread I installed a short shift kit, that will not be included with the car - will include stock shifter though with the DSSR.
Parts (all purchased within one year):
-$? Multiple forum purchases who knows how much it adds up to...
-$95.66 - PartsGeek
-$402.01 - FCP Groton
-$1166.32 - Turner Motorsport
-$1119.90 - Pelican Parts
$2783.89 Total
---I’ve owned this car since 7/2011 (just read my title and realized I purchased 7/22/2011, I thought is was August before) so anything mentioned as a new part or service is no older than that date!--- https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink

-einstein’s keyless entry (forum member product)
-George Graves auto dimmer (forum member product)

-Working A/C
-Working ABS (fixed the ‘fuse’ in that ABS relay, common problem)
-OBC bulbs replaced with LED's
-Burnt out dash bulbs replaced with working ones
I could be missing some things but this is definitely most of it!
Cons (some are just annoyances more than problems)
-Has original paint that’s been buffed a couple times. Multiple edges are worn, some even down to the metal, normal 25 year scratches. Some parts of the right side of car seems to have been resprayed due to the PO getting keyed (as I was told). Hardly noticeable though if you look up from ground level at certain spots you can see light orange peel.
-Couple rust spots on the body. Nothing major. Points include (that I’m aware of):
---Rear drivers tail light, rear drivers bumper trim area, some spots around the trunk weather seal, in the corner the drivers rear window - anything else and these documented in the pictures
-Has odd intermittent hesitation when accelerating. If it does happen, it happens only the first time I go to accelerate... still trying to track down the problem though but since when it does happen it's only for the first acceleration when going on a drive, I haven't been rushing to figure it out. If anyone has had this problem or knows a fix I’m all ears. - After replacing the fuel line right after the pump (old one had a hole...) the problem seems to be gone. Since it was intermittent I will update if it comes back.
-Brake light check panel intermittently lights up. All brake lights work, all bulbs refreshed with proper ones/contacts cleaned. Don’t know why it still pops on sometimes.
-Main light for speedometer inside of the cluster has a broken solder point somewhere since when I turn my lights on ⅘ times it doesn’t light up. Tapping the outside of the cluster makes it work instantly... I tried to reflow the solder points to fix this but failed and didn’t feel like taking the cluster out yet again since.
-Windshield and rear window seals faded to orange, I can spray some plasti dip on them, up to you what you would like to do
-Couple areas where the PO used silicone or some substance to seal the taillights/other areas in the trunk - didn’t see these when I bought the car until I went to change the tail lights
-Windshield has pitting and multiple crack spots where rocks hit. When I asked the PO about them he said “it’s the original glass”...
-PO has A/C compressor hooked up to the ignition coil to turn on when the car is started. I d/c for my use and never looked into hooking it up through the actual HVAC. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink
-PO had foglights d/c (connection point behind headlights) I can re-attach if needed
-PO welded the drive shaft flange to the end of the transmission, see this thread: (http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=249133)
-Dash dimming only works in the fully lit position (common problem)
-Exhaust is probably original and although there are no leaks that I know of, it’s hanging a little low for my taste and probably could be redone in the future
-Trim piece missing around the steering column (PO...never got a new piece) it's the one directly under the cluster trim.
-Have 2 speaker wires running in the cabin of the car due to the factory amp bypass. My plans were to install black carpet or dye my current carpet so I was waiting to do that to run the wires and kill two birds with one stone
-Unsure of when the timing belt was changed last (since I didn't do it), PO said it was done recently and I took his word for it.
-Odometer just recently called it quits (couple days ago), you're more than welcome to check the carfax or other records to compare the mileage to what I've described in the ad!
Possibly more small things here or there but this is what I can think of right now, if you have questions, ask!
Photoshoot done! Album link here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1067412...ul84Cjp_CVwAE# Loads more pictures in there showing the bad/good. Also shown are the Tan Houndstooth bits so check it out!
