Southeast BMW Brodeo - Camping/Rally/Driving/Fun

Every Spring and then again in the Fall a group of us fire up our BMWs and head out to a campsite for some fun. Of course this site needs to be somewhere with some roads we can drive on. Last year at the Fall Rally at out normal spot at Tail of the Dragon our great friend and all around great guy Steve Langston(Stevie30 on the forums) decided on Vogel State park. In my backyard so I could not object.

Unfortunately the world lost an awesome guy. Steve passed away last month from Cancer. The Spring Rally become more of a memorial and remembrance. It just was not the same without Steve by the campfire with his funny stories and songs, his awesome E30 cabrios and his witty remarks in any conversation. We carried on and enjoyed our 3 day weekend.

Some of you may remember the Rally video where I suggested he 'haze his tires' and it tore his clutch out of his E30... it was a running joke for quite some time so we ended with a Memorial Burnout/Donuts. Awesome weekend. Awesome people. If you are anywhere near the SE for the Fall Rally or can get away there is always an open invitation. When people come one time they tend to make it to every single one and the group becomes larger and larger each time!

Its good to get away from Look Rock every once and a while for a change in the scenery but when we do it make me anticipate the return to Look Rock that much more.
