Picked this up to build an M60b44 frankenmotor. Got it from a car at a local yard. It was an automatic '98 540i in what appeared to be great condition brought in on an unspecified mechanical issue without a key. No idea on the mileage. Gambled on the problem being the trans and bought it as it was pretty clean. Looks like the motor was VERY well taken care of. Extremely clean, looks like it had regular maintenance. AFAIK the scratches in the cylinder bores are normal wear - they cannot be felt by fingernail. More pictures available on request. The heads were removed, but every part is here including the wiring harness. I did not grab the ECU. If you want a 4.4L to reseal and throw in your e30, or a good block for a frankenmotor build, this is a great candidate.
I'm only getting rid of it because I got a killer deal on an S62b50 and need to DD the 318iS, so it can't go in that. I could probably be talked into just parting with the block for a frankenmotor.
