I believe the word you were searching for is 'content' or 'humble'. I believe when humans face a large change like; world wide fame and massive amount of money. That their morals change and they don expensive cars and clothing etc to fill a empty void in their life that was damaged along the way.

It is normal to see rich, famous humans abuse drugs and shit. So the word I believe you were searching for was 'content'. I don't know the man, but it seems like the only thing money has done to his life is just make it easier to enjoy his love of classics.
