maybe a few other here would like to spit the cost to rent a space between a few others here im sure it would not be so expensive.

Good luck sharing space even with 2 other people... it becomes a logistical nightmare.

you need to explain this, if your going to respond, i was saying between, ( responsible ) folks did not think that this kinda think could happen on a forum where people spend boat loads of money on MOTORSPORT Parts, no one here owns a garage space. Hard to believe, if my credit was any better a garage ( large one ) with a gas pump would save all the members here tons and tons of effort. RIGHT ?

anyway, i see your in new england to the poster that asked WHERE. as long as its accessible from either the bus or the train, dossent matter ??? why are you asking ?

I am talking from experience. Over a year ago dude8383 and myself were in your shoes. Few more friends wanted to rent a shop to wrench on our E30s and store our parts. We quickly realized that it will not work out in real life. So dude8383 and I rented a garage and made a small business out of it. Here are some reasons why it doesnt really work:
Who gets lift time? How much space does each person get? Who buys all the tools? Who chips in for tools? Who is responsible for shop expenses? If everything is split equality, what happens when someone uses more stuff than others?

I would also like to add to this as well. Your calculations did not account for heating/cooling, electricity, internet access, basic liability insurance, security system. Nor did you account for individual access, would it be a give everyone an individual key, or someone would have to be on site to keep the doors open?

EDIT: Trash, water, sewer, etc. are a few things I forgot in the above list.
