W.A.R./MAF and 3 pin variable tps, no can ?

    Aloha guys,

Searched around but only come up with 6 pin tps to MSII or other compatabiliry answers, so...

scanvaged 3 pin variable tps's from various bmw's and wondering if they'll just plug into oem location without wire swaping ? they're for my m20 with itbs and miller w.a.r./maf combo.

mounting it is not a problem, just need to double check wiering, thanks.

    volt readings varied between them.
    switch 1: .062 to .456 V
    switch 2: .105 to .504 V
    switch 3: .120 to .632 V

    my m20 harness plug:
    pin 1, br/bl, signal
    pin 2, brown, ground
    pin 3, brown/black, 12+V

all 3 variable tps work as follow:
pin 1, at close position, .062 raises to .456, .105 to .504 and .120 to .632V's at wot.
    pin 2, ground ?
pin 3, at closed position .456 droping to .062, .504 to .105 and .632 to .120 as turned.

So, I'll use switch # 1 with lowest Voltage readings, it seems like it should work unless motronic 1.3 only reads on/off oem type switch. any ideas ?

    Mahalos,
    Frank

p.s. just cut up carbon airbox for it to clear brake booster, now I'll have to get her patched up, also modified throttle cable bracket for it.

That won't work. The DME only senses open or closed for the idle and WOT switches in the TPS.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

You can use an m30 tps that has stock wot switch and also tps.
      6 wires.
