SOLD
Up for sale is a 1987 325is that has been raced in KP class at BMWCCA club racing. Car could be raced as is or made into a spec-e30, or whatever you want to do with it. It was raced very competitively about 10 years ago and has been stored since. Car was started frequently up until a couple years ago. I went through it this weekend, changed the oil and drained all the fuel and refilled it. Started right up and runs strong.
Engine is a 2.8 stroker that was built by Mike Perkins at Bavarian Machine here in Houston. It has Stahl long tube headers and an accusump system mounted in the passenger footwell.
Suspension I think is a Bilstein BTS-7511 system with Bilsten shocks and lowered springs. The rear has an aftermarket sway bar. Car also has aluminum front control arms.
Interior has a full cage that is bolted to weld-in plates and could be removed if you wanted, not sure why you would want to as a lot of money was spent on the cage. Seat is a Sparco Evo and has a 5-point harness. Door panels are still in place and the windows still work off the switches.
Body is in very good shape with only one small dent that I found. It's always been a Houston car so there is no rust on or under. Paint isn't that great, but hey, it's a race car, slap more stickers or a wrap on it.
Wheels are TWS 15x7 and are the correct offset and center bore for an e30. Tires are Toyo Proxes RA1 but are pretty hard and should be replaced before putting it on the track.
This is a nice chance for someone to get a great track car that needs very little to get out and run for much less than a similar one can be built.
Here's some pics, let me know if you have any questions.
