M20 with dinan chip or M50nv with ready for turbo...

Ok I'm in a cross roads; either i repaired a rod nock on the M20 (therefore spending money) or install a 130k miles M50nv with possible of insatlling a turbo after Califorina BAR and or possible a poor man M50 upgrade (ie cams, etc) i have the M50 ready to go all parts ready to be install.
Please help me with this delema. No money for new engine and i need this car to be up and running asap

I vote M20. Its a lot easier than swapping to 24v, and the m50nv doesn't provide a great benefit over the M20.

if you have absolutely everything required for a 24v swap and it won't cost anything, then i'd say that makes the most sense.

m50nv is not worth the cost of the swap and the DME is not tuner-friendly.

if anything, find an m50 with vanos and turbo it.

m50 is a better motor IMO

Decided to add Vanos and S50 cams to my M50NV (since I have everything ready to go and will not spend more money for a new Vanos engine) ( I got the M50NV for free)
