The NEW Sacramento e30 Meet Thread

So I think Sac needs someone to finally step up and say: "We need a Meet DANG IT!"

So, here we have it. I have compiled a list of places we can have this meet, along with, descriptions, food, surrounding areas, "pic"-ability (good area for pictures or no), parking, other-meet traffic, along with pros/cons as footnotes and so on along with addresses of locations of course

The official "meet" does not have to be confined to that one specific area; we can change the meet location as we like, but the main one will be the one with the most votes.

Now, on to the good stuff:

    ---------------------------------------------
    Location #1
    ---------------------------------------------
    Burgers and Brew
    ---------------------------------------------
    1409 R St
    Sacramento, CA 95811
    ---------------------------------------------
Typical high end Burger place; $10 a plate, great food, good beer. Serves primarily burgers, but nothing else is good besides the burgers/salads. Urban environment for the "abandoned" looking photo-op, downtown area allows dynamic shots and relative recreation. Extremely low 5.0. Traffic; lots of parking, low "other meet" turnout: can be made strictly e30/BMW only.
    ---------------------------------------------
    Pros:
    Great burgers
    Great food
    Good desert areas near by
    Decent parking
    Nice photo shoot area
    Central area
    Low CHP traffic
    Low meet traffic
    Secluded
    ---------------------------------------------
    Cons:
Restaurant usually packed: party of 10+ can take upwards to an hour for seating; 15-30 minute wait regularly
A little it away from freeway
    Only one place to eat
    No dessert places nearby
    ---------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------
    Location #2
    ---------------------------------------------
    Pleasant Grove Pocket
    ---------------------------------------------
    7451 Foothills Blvd
    Roseville, CA 95747
    ---------------------------------------------
The most diverse of the selections; Pleasant Groces's eatery complex has 5-6 restaurants; sit-down and fast-food, to choose from; Indian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, you name it, I personally love Los Cabos Grill. $5-15 a meal. Lots of parking, high "other meet" turnout, high 5.0. traffic, but the eatery selection can appeal to anyone's tastes. Usually packed on weekends though be ause of small parking lot
    ---------------------------------------------
    Pros:
    Great food
    Awesome Selection
    Good dessert areas near by
    Diverse options
    Decent parking
    ---------------------------------------------
    Cons:
    Decentralized location
    High CHP traffic
    High meet traffic
    No Photo-op areas
A little bit away from the freeway
    ---------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------
    Location #3
    ---------------------------------------------
    Galleria Bonanza
    ---------------------------------------------
    1013 Galleria Blvd #200
    Roseville, CA 95678
    ---------------------------------------------
High-end environment for the stunning looking photo-ops, downtown area allows dynamic shots and relative recreation as well as large food selection. Mostly high end sit-down, but some low end areas; $10-$15 a meal typically; Yard House, Dave and Busters, ice cream places central to area. Moderate 5.0. Traffic; lots of parking, low "other meet" turnout: can be made strictly e30/BMW only, but it has high "other car-guy" traffic that may cause trouble.
    ---------------------------------------------
    Pros:
    Great food
    Diverse food option
    Central to 10+ restaurants
    Good dessert places
    Awesome parking
    Nice photo shoot area
    Low meet traffic
    Close to the freeway
Awesome area to mess around outside of our cars (fireplace, fountains D&B)
    ---------------------------------------------
    Cons:
    Decentralized location
    Moderate CHP traffic
High enthusiast traffic (the "wrong" kind of enthusiasts)
    High end food pricing
    ---------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------
    Location #4
    ---------------------------------------------
    Bloom Coffee and Tea
    ---------------------------------------------
    1485 Eureka Rd
    Roseville, CA 95661
    ---------------------------------------------
This is the coffee meet, but it is located in an area centralized to many eateries in the parking lot. Urban environment for the grungy looking photo-op; abandoned fields and whatnot. Diverse eatery selections; Sushi, Thai, Greek, Mexican; fairly priced $5-10 a meal with Sushi always 1/2 off. Great coffee place. Low 5.0. Traffic; lots of parking, low "other meet" turnout: can be made strictly e30/BMW only. Lots of non-r3v e30 guys gather ther as well; there are 4-5 regular e30 customers at the coffee shop
    ---------------------------------------------
    Pros:
    Great food
    Diverse food options
    Great parking
    Nice photo shoot area
    Low CHP traffic
    Low meet traffic
    Close to the freeway
    ---------------------------------------------
    Cons:
    Decentralized location
    No dessert places nearby
    Somewhat "hipster"
Early closing times of some restaurants (9pm)
    ---------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------
    Location #5
    ---------------------------------------------
    In-n-Out
    ---------------------------------------------
    3501 Truxel Rd
    Sacramento, CA 95834
    ---------------------------------------------
IT'S IN-N-OUT. Extremely low 5.0. Traffic; low "other meet" turnout: can be made strictly e30/BMW only. Not so much parking though, In-N-Out isn't totally packed, but the area isn't as nice, and there aren't any photo op sessions. Very busy because of the plaza location, but there are plenty of other places to cruise to to make thë meet that much more dynamic
    ---------------------------------------------
    Pros:
    Great burgers
    Central area
    Great parking
    Lots of other restaurants
    Low CHP traffic
    Low meet traffic
    Close to the freeway
    In-N-Out
    ---------------------------------------------
    Cons:
    No Photo-op-able locations
    Lots of traffic
    ---------------------------------------------

That being said, let the voting commence!

I'm at Truxel plaza right now; I went ahead and updated my In-N-Out location description. It's actually a nice area. I might just call it early and make a meet happen.

From what I can tell; I'd like to make this something monthly at that In-N-Out every 2nd Saturday of every month or so at like 6. I'm sure we'd find something that'd be able to please most, if not all, of people who'd want to attend

Just gauging interest as of now

I see where you gave you input on CHP traffic but I have a question. Because CHP's jurisdiction lie on Highways and Freeways, would PD be a more appropriate representation of law enforcement that you can potentially run into while at the meets?

I suppose CHP would be appropriate for traveling to and fro the meets.

I used CHP as shorthand for any Police activity Ryan. I should have specified, but I figured people would understand what I was trying to imply regardless

We use to meet up at the borders in Sac before. Nobody ever gets food at meets anyway.

I know most of the meets in SoCal had food involved; those were usually the biggest meets besides the established BMW/euro meets that happened consistently.

With all the locations, besides #1; they'll be more of a non-food meet, but there are restaurants nearby where people would be able to grab a quick bite for take out an resume shooting the breeze outside, essentially modeling the SJFT Meets

I'm down for a meet, just hoping i can work something out with my work schedule. Location #1, #5 sound pretty good. As for #5 if we have to drive a bit for photo spots, I'm fine
