"BMW 325 iAX Touring 1991
Car was purchased to be part of family in february 2004, from Ludwigshaven, Germany. This awd wagon equipped with automatic tranny was used to serve doctor of chemistry in the city which has been crashed time ago by it's earlier owner and they needed to replace some body parts.
Because there was no other awd wagon available, we had to buy this despiting need of bodywork. We we're satisfied to the quality of the repairs
because there wasn't anything that would have make extra noise into the cabin. So we drove through Germany, looking for another choice of car, but this was the one that we brought back to Finland by hobblying. It was because Transfer case didn't have enough oil and it had damaged the bearing of it.

So back in Finland, I took the tranny and transfer case off. It needed a dropping of the entire front subframe that i could remove transfer case.
I serviced tranny at same time. For the Transfer case i found spare one from the neighboring city, replacing the old burn retrokit. My wife drove this car for a about 8000km after this big service. After that i starter pulling it apart again, as a AC and remote heater was in my thoughts. The replaced retro kit had failed after first hundred km.

Supercharger ( Eaton M45), heater( Webasto) and AC was installed. On next part the project took couple steps to backward. The Retro kit, that was filled by me had exploded because i didn't leave any space for silicon oil to expand. I maintenanced another retro kit with leaving about 16% air into it and it seemed to work okay( not that well as original did) Next case was to service front axle CV's.

They we're replaced fully as i earlier thought that i would only service old ones. Well, they we're waiting for service stripped apart and cleaned. Car has been in use without any special servicing and old car maintenances need some times to take care. Rear window wiper injector didn't work. There came a crack to front window right in front of drivers seat.
November/December 2006 was the time for "little maintenance". Took the entire front subframe off so i could change the seals of the power streering. At the same time, i Tested my second attempt of retrokit mod, filling it with 91% silicon oil. seem's to work as you can see in the video.

In Summer 2007 there was no driving much and i took Eaton of in september. Car found himself a new home and i finally got time to focus to my other car projects."
That's all for today.. i sended him a mail and im trying to get better details of servicing retro kit.
