First drive was last night. This thing is addictive!
Motor and transmission are from a 98 MRoadster with just over 91k miles when wrecked. 3.4 rear end ratio. swapped in a z3 rack. blah blah blah. Pictures are below!
Big thanks to Robert K of Kadunza (link - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kadunza/259218640810212) for doing the swap and allowing me to act like I helped. Also a huge help to the welding by BJ. The exhaust is a work of art.
Many of these pictures taken by Robert of Kadunza and stolen from the FB page.
The car after the swap was complete
Starting point - 270k mile ETA. In good shape if anyone needs anything.
New engine so clean! This was not cleaned up for the picture, it really was this clean under the valve cover.
Out with the old
Engine bay cleaned up, booster/master swapped, electric fan wiring started
Wiring going in
Wiring in and clean
3.4 rear end in place
Radiator and fan test fit and wiring. Fan will run from radiator temperature switch or a manual switch next to the hazard lights.
Raceland headers cut and painted with high temp powder coat. I'd advise against using these - they hit both the subframe and sway bar (but not control arm bushings) when put in the car.
Moving into position
Ready to bring the car down
Fits!
Effing Tight exhaust built!
Final engine shots. Beautiful!
