i wouldn't call him a scammer. he bought it for what he thought was a good deal and is re selling it. if its worth what he is asking for it someone will buy it. not seeing anything dishonest about it, people buy an sell cars all the time.

The scam is not informing people that he's doing so and failing to give the correct number of owners, accident history, etc, not to mention lying about why he's selling the car.

Doesnt the title state who the SELLER is SELLING the car to? Is the person on the title seling it to the person you are selling it to?

In a land of courts what you are doing is not legal. The seller prints the buyers name, etc, etc.
