I have up for sale a super rare Getrag 265/5 sport, close ratio, dog leg, 5 speed gear box. This transmission originally came from a Euro 635CSI with 130459 miles on it. It was purchased with the intention of being mated to an s14b23 in my 1974 BMW 2002, but my plans have "shifted". This transmission has been offered in other BMW platforms (all big 6 euro m30 cars like the e28, e24, e32, and of course the e30 M3),but it will mate to an m20 with the proper bell housing (there is one on eBay right now for like ~$250). I do have the bell housing that mates it up to any M3/big 6 BMW, and its pictured with the part number. It can be included in the sale if needed.
These gear boxes can be tricky to verify, I understand this. I've tried to include every angle that shows the tells of the dogleg box, the parallel side mounting fasteners, the 3 linear plugs on the rear cover of the trans, etc. Here is a follow up link with more info to confirm that it is in fact the rare close ratio box: http://bmwe30m3.net/wiki/index.php?t...omparison_info.
