I’d like to start with saying that this year’s Car-B-Q was a fantastic event with tremendous support from many SoCal natives. It was the first E30 specific meet I’ve had the opportunity to attend in my sub one year E30 ownership, certainly setting the bar for events to come. This event would not of been possible without Taylor, Garrett, and both of their gangs. Along with the sponsors listed below.

Below I’ve included photographs taken and edited by myself along with a brief write up. I’d like this thread to contain photographs and comments from the event for all to see and share. Enjoy.
The morning of September 28th started as an early one for myself in Isla Vista. Rolled the pelican case of camera gear out to find my roommate had slept out without taking his car. A nice six point turn got me out of that small spot without a hitch. Because E30.
Gave the 87 a quick wash before hitting the 101 South.
The 101 South between Santa Barbara and Ventura is one of my favorite stretches of road on the route between UCSB and Orange County that I frequent from time to time. I always seem to find at least one CHP car in the area thanks to the tried and true V1.
I showed up to the event rather early with enough cars there to count on both hands. Cars rolled in steadily with a wide variety in store.
There were E30’s with bike racks. Early and Late Models.
Including mine all it’s early model glory. Nicknamed Projekt Slow As Shit. 212k Miles, leaky headgasket, worn clear coat, Borbet Type A’s, Mtech springs, so on.
There were E36’s, at least they were M3’s and sitting pretty
Casual show stopping E36 with a LS swap under the bonnet and Corvette big brakes on the corners. I’ve seen this car several times before and it impresses me every time.
Matte paint really brings out the lines on E30s in all lighting conditions.
The cleanest MTech II I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in recent years.
Mr Hoonigan over here with the neon zip ties.
That paint looks so good!
There was also another elegant German in attendance, politely parked off to the side. Still managing to grab my attention.
There was also the not so elegant and rare.
This Bavaria had a marvelous patina to it, a great car to appreciate.
Done up late models.
Mr 325 with his 2.7 Turbo.
I really need a set of Euro Bumpers on my early model, diving boards are only good for punting shopping cars.
Clean S52 OBDI E30 swap done right.
Nothing but smiles and good times from everyone at the event.

Carbon Fiber that is.
Bling Bling.
No one ever said gold was a hard metal. Some cars wore their battle scars with pride.
While others wore orange wheels.
Others wore their stock bottle caps with the tires tucked up into the fenders.
Then there was Taylor with his Type A’s all the way up in the fenders.
Low.
Carbon M3 again.
US Market E28.
And a Euro Market 5-Lug E30
A lost Hyundai 2.0T.
Again, this event had an awesome turnout and showing of support from the BMW community.
Rolling on out back to LA.
