As everyone around here for while already knows, but the new people might not, I was one of the first people to put MkII VW GTi Recaros into an E30. Andrew and I fabricated our own brackets that would mount to the stock E30 bases, and bolt directly into the car. The first set was a success:

But as anyone who knows me knows, I get tired of parts fast. So I sold that set, after rebuilding the damaged bolsters and making them livable again. I had to have another pair, so I got a pair of Recaro Trophys (LS) from another MkII GTi, and started again. The foams were all almost in perfect shape, but the black vinyl jackets were thrashed. Along with some of the mechanisms and other parts.
So I had a new set of black vinyl jackets made with red stitching, and now I'm starting to put them back together. I also replaced the butt cushion diaphragms, that was the first thing I did the other night:

Also got the new covers on the headrests, these were VERY difficult...

More to come as I get more done... ;D
