I am looking to sell or trade my e30. On a trade, I have cash to throw in if necessary.
Trades I'll consider are 96+ e36 m3, e46 m3 and 2003 540i m-sport
Must be manual transmission. No convertibles.
Car is located in Pensacola Florida
Description:
1988 325is 5 speed
Zinno on tan leather
87,000 original miles on a working odometer.
- Crack free dash
- Factory 3.73 limited slip differential
- Fully operational gauge cluster and 13 button OBC
- ZHP shift knob
- Short shifter (not sure which one, PO installed)
- M-tech 2 steering wheel – brand NEW, and it’s the smaller diameter.
- E36 window switches & sunroof switch
- Depo euro headlights
- Euro grills
- IS lip and rear spoiler still installed
- Rear plate filler
- skid plate
- plastic bumper swap - paint match isnt perfect, but you cant notice a difference unless the light is just right and your up close.
- 15’ euroweave wheels strait from Germany with fresh tires (less than 3000 miles on them)
- Stereo:
Kenwood head unit (with XM), infinity component speakers at all 4 corners, an infinity 12 sub in the infamous 12inch luke box and a planet audio 1800 watt amp. I take car audio serious, so it was meticulously installed and sounds awesome. However, that said, the back seat has been ported so the sub can function properly. All in all I spent about $1000+ on this system
Maintenance in the last 10k miles:
- Timing belt
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Cam seal
- Spark plugs
- Cooling system flush
- Differential fluid.
- AC refreshed and got new seals + charge last year. Blows cold. (also, heat blows like an oven)
- Fuel filter
- Air filter (K/N airbox filter)
- Complete suspension refurb: H&R sport springs, Bilstein sport shocks, new shock mounts (front and rear) rear shock mount reinforcement plates, spring pads, new sway bar bushings and end links, new tie rod ends, CAB eyeball ends, front wheel bearings
- Front brake rotors and pads
- ABS relays replaced
- Exhaust system. Cat and generic muffler. OEM sound.
- Clutch master and slave cylinder
- Valve cover gasket
The not so good:
Drivers side seat, left side bolster has ripped and the foam is showing, which is really the only thing I'd say is wrong with the car. But some other stuff; the paint is in decent shape, but could use a good wax & revitalization. There is a small bubble forming on the sunroof and a small dent in the passenger side rear fender. Both of these issues have painted over with touch up paint. Other than these two very small blemishes, NO RUST. Passenger side of the front valence has been bent in slightly, and the oil cooler is slightly bent but still functions fine. PO said he ran over a tree branch one day. The tint could use a refresher
I feel like I’m forgetting some stuff, but that should give you the idea. I have a giant stack of receipts for the parts. I typically do all my own maintenance but I did get a bmw tech, local friend, install the timing belt, cam seal, thermostat job. I think I have one of the few remaining e30s that is still in mostly original/OEM+ shape with less than 90k miles. Overall the car is in great shape. Drives smooth, shifts smooths, pulls likes it should, etc. I recently took the car on a 300 mile road trip and it drove like a champ. This car has been my daily driver for the last year and a half. Everything works in the car. Cruise control, AC, stereo, sunroof, etc.
You will not be disappointed.
I am listing the car at $8900
