    BMW Non-Metallic Blue colors?

I am about to do a full respray with color change (from Bronzit) and want to go blue. Dark blue, of possible. I don't really want a metallic color but could be swayed that way.

I like the tone of several BMW colors but not the metallic aspects.

I scrolled this thread for ideas: http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18655

Are there any non-metallic OEM blue colors that are true blue?

    For reference...

This color is not too bad. Not thrilling, but not too bad:

Royal Blue? Shows as a valid code from BMW but I can't tell if it is metallic or not.

I like Mini Tahiti Blue (but it is metallic):

I don't hate this but no idea on the code:

Is this "Midnight Blue" the real name from BMW?

There is also [LEFT]Mauritius Blue Metallic (there is that word again):

I think that Estoril Blue is about as light as I could possibly go:

    LeMans Blue is looking good:

    No. Just No...

Are there other "blues" that I am missing?

Royal blue is metallic, but it's a beautiful color. Why are you avoiding metallic paint? Cost? My Mom's E28 is Royal Blue and the flake is very subtle, unlike some of the lighter blues.

Look up the color. It's a little blue, a little purple, a little brown....depends on the lighting

It isn't cost as much as the fact that I am terrible about maintaing the paint on my cars so I have a fear that the paint will look terrible if I don't keep it up. Maybe it is a mis-perception but I always feel like metallic paints look worse than non-metallic when not constantly washed. Also (and again this may be wrong) it seems that metallic paint is worse about showing swirl marks, hazing, etc.

I just like the metallics so much...

I follows/read your build and loved the color but never paid attention to what color it was.

get custom paint mixed and tell them to use non metallic colors. Threr is a color break down for each code.

also these seem to be non metallic:
                  lapis blue code 173
                  saturn blue code 176

also royal blue is metallic (there might be a non M version though)
