44” Round Bars

These towers sit ON the roof using rubber pads, not IN the gutters. It has locks and I have two new keys for it.

The 44” bar length is perfect for E30’s. It will also fit E28's.

The rack is in good condition – I’m only selling it because my Thule bike trays won’t fit these bars.

A new one would run about $250 + tax, without locks.

I do - but its off the car at the moment.

Let me pop the rack on my IX tomorrow and snap some detailed pics and post them here. I'll try to do better than the micro thumbnail pics that are up right now.

The roof vs. gutter thing is just a matter of personal preference. The "roof" has rubber feet that sit on top of the roof and the "gutter" has a thin section that sits directly in the rain gutter. Both are secured with the hooks that go over the gutter trim. Both accept exactly the same type of accessories.

If you have a pristine Schwarz black show car the roof mount is probably NOT what you want as it can leave a mark (can be buffed out). If you have the average oxidized, peeling clearcoat car, it probably doesn't matter.
