For sale is my 1991 BMW 318is in lachssilber. I have owned the car for the past two years and have truly enjoyed every day in it. I bought it initially for my love of e30’s and unfortunately I needed something to install my ignition interlock device in. Now my ignition interlock sentence is up and I wish to get something with two wheels finally.
This car runs great, smooth flat idle, no valve noise, no ticking, no leaks, no smoke, temp gauge stays right in the middle, motor pulls strong, tranny shifts smooth, brakes confidently and quickly and handles excellently. It has never left me stuck, very reliable starts quickly and has practically zero mechanical issues.
As for other pros:
NO RUST AZ CAR!!
Bilstein sports and vogtland racing springs all around
Treehouse racing front control arm bushings
Poly motor mounts steering bushing and transmission mounts
Euro Smiley hi beams
New radiator
New spark plugs, and spark plug wires
New fuel pump, sock filter and fuel filter
New timing chain tensioner
New optima red top 800cca
All four tires have less than 2000 miles (less than 1 year old)
Nice pioneer radio with front aux
Clean title, box a mileage at 160,000ish
Current registration, passed the last emissions with flying colors
Now for the bad:
Cracked dash
Odometer not working
Glove box stuck shut
Broken hood latch
Two different keys one for ignition other for doors and trunk
Body damage, dents and scratches and a hit in the back, doesn’t look too bad though might be able to pull it out hopefully, I never messed with it just pulled off the old busted bumper and left it as you see
A/c doesn’t work, it might just need the belt, heat works fine
Sunroof liner is falling apart
Missing ashtray, plastic covers around steering wheel, driver interior door handle,
Carpet is a little dirty
I have really enjoyed this car and wish I could fix it up nice and keep it but motorcycles have been calling my name too long. This could be a great project that you drive and fix up, a complete restoration job or a turnkey daily.
