Do you accept body parts as payment? If so I got a spare kidney I don't need and maybe some other stuff.

        No body parts accepted :)

Comp and Leak as well as pre-removal dyno data is available as posted on the full add and here as well:

Engine details: Motor was pulled with 172,XXX miles in January 2015. Condition of timing components unknown and no documentation/paperwork of any update/replacement of timing components available. Results of a compression/leakdown test performed prior to removal (2/20/2013) were as follows, (motor internals have not been inspected and head has not been separated from block):
        Cyl 1/Cyl 2/Cyl 3/Cyl 4/Cyl 5/Cyl 6
        Compression: 140/155/155/165/155/170
        Leakdown: 58%/35%/30%/40%/27%/28%

A “pre-dyno” was performed in September 2014 at Boost Creep (Longmont, CO) on a Dyno Dynamics (“heartbreaker”) dynometer to provide a “baseline” for comparison following engine transplant to determine the amount of performance I gained post engine refresh. Results of the dyno (from the motor for sale) were: 204 peak HP/188 peak ftlb at the wheels, altitude corrected.

hmmm.....does it appear to need a rebuild? cyl 1 seems to be an outlier?

OP, was the leakdown performed with the engine warm or cold?

Very cool motor for a swap. Nothing sounds like a s38. GLWS

Comp and leak were done on a warm engine. Based on sound, it was felt the leak was in the head/valves of cyl 1 (not bottom end). I believe this engine would need a full timing component (rails, etc.) rebuild as well as a head/valve job. BUT as stated, the motor has not been disassembled to inspect/confirm. The bottom ends of these motors are pretty stout and I would be surprised if it needed a rebuild - but unk. The motor I had refreshed (not the one for sale) had 180,xxx miles and you could still see the cross hatch on the cylinder bores. I did not do anything to the bottom end of that motor.
                Hope this helps...

hopefully its just something minor. b35 heads have a bit of a reputation for cracks in the valve seat area causing burned valves.

the good thing is that its almost always fixable by someone handy with a tig welder.
