NEW Seat & Cabrio Top Hinge & Deck Lid Shocks. !!

So many of you have bought these and thanked me that I have to start by saying you're welcome & thanks to you for the support. What started as a way to help people upgrade their seats has expanded to include Cabrio specific gas struts as well as some other potential uses Im working on.

I'll be working on instructions and hopefully a video but in the meantime please feel free to ask, either by PM or here. Note also, every thing I sell I use on my own e30s (past and present).

On offer are the Made in Europe replacement seat shocks, each of which includes new push nuts for a turn key installation. I've lost count of how many of these I've sold and the responses have been 100% positive.

All prices do include shipping. Any order including seat shocks will ship Priority Post. The others will be via 1st Class Mail & all orders come with tracking.

1 set of 4 struts will do 1 sport seat (350N back & 450N bottom)

    1 Set $80
    2 Sets $145

    Cabrio Struts

    Tonneau/Deck Lid Struts
I had all of these custom made and they work great. They are $40/pr

Soft Top Hinge Struts w Plastic Sleeves

Until I stumbled on these in a spare frame I didn't know they existed. At the Vintage I handed out little cards asking who know about them and people just looked at me and denied they had them :-)

If you have a Cabrio, you have these regardless of whether its a manual or electric top (same PN for both tops). NOTE that if you have an electric top you NEED these to lessen the load on your expensive motors and hardware. Im pretty confident the motors die and hardware breaks due to blown shocks.

They require the plastic sleeves which are either broken or shrunk to the point of being useless. Therefore, I include new sleeves which are about $7.50@ IF you can get them. Last time I checked they were NLA...probably because of how many I bought :-)

    $89/pr

If you buy both sets of Cabrio Struts (so 4 total) its only $125 & if you get these and 2 sets of seats shocks its down to $259.

Just want to be sure, but this fixes the "reclines, but drops" issue right?

This is awesome and I definitely need to get the $259 option, but I should also wait a week or so to figure out some finance stuff. How long will this be available?

If you are referring to "lift the lever and the seats falls in to the back seat" then yes. You can buy 1 sport set (of 4) for 1 seat for $80 or do them both for $145. Note, the comfort seats I've done have had only 1 seat back shock so you may want to check.

Yup, perfect. I may have to purchase these in the near future for a sport seat setup

I got a little installation tip for the Top Hinge Struts from a fellow forum member (and customer) and wanted to share it. Thanks again to Escaport.

Position the spring clip high up on the neck of the ball socket like so. Since there's a separate clip inside the socket to hold the socket on the ball, its easy to pop it in to place using a long screw driver. Just make sure the tip of the spring clip that goes in to the hole is not sticking out in the socket or it will complicate getting it on to the ball.

Once thats done, its easy to shove the clip down the neck of the socket til it hits the groove to lock it in to place. Keep in mind that the tip of the spring clip has to slide in to another hole at the bottom of the socket so make sure you push the clip straight down.
