Driveshaft Guibo size
#1, how do you measure the Guibo size... 110mm opposed to 135mm.. Is it the outside diameter? or the center hole to opposite center hole?
#2, What E30 driveshafts were offered with the bigger (135mm) guibo? I have a 325 super eta and just took it off yesterday and it looks like the bigger one... Considering that i'm doing an M30 conversion, it's a good thing.... but overall.. I know RS4Pro had a bigger flange on his driveshaft.. just curious if I have the same thing...

nope, only the 87 325e's got the larger guibo. I specificaly purchased a driveshaft from one for that reason. I think it was pre 1/87->9/87 that got them.
and the measurment is the outside diameter.

That's really odd ely... bc when i took the tranny off yesterday from my 88 325 (super eta), it was the larger size.. appx 5.3" outside to outside.. which is classified as the larger flex disc.. interesting huh?
makes it much easier...driveshaft portion will be a cinch Oh yeah ely, what position did you use? ... to make sure u have no driveshaft modifications??

Is there any way to figure out which you have without looking and measuring it? Mine looks like a clump of broom bristles, and I need to know which I need for my '89 325iC.

That means your guibo is baaaaaaaaaaad. I guarantee you have the smaller guibo. Check out this site http://www.wholesaleimportparts.com/...7;20Driveshaft
Either front tri-prong holes are 2.6" or 3.12" apart. I'm willing to bet you've got yours at 2.6". Enjoy!

Every 325e car including super eta after 5/86 has a large guibo. A 325i regardless of the year always has a small guibo.
