Yet ANOTHER track day for me PICS

Last friday and this friday! I've been loving life lately. last week in an Evo, this week on the bike

I had so much prepwork to do to get the bike ready for the track. When I bought the bike it had been dumped at like 80, so it got new forks, clip ons, rearsets (with gp shift, i missed it so!), and a few other misc things

then I got framesliders, a hyperpro steering damper, changed the fluids, all of these things done a day before the td

taping up the beast, took all the lights off except headlight and taillight

The crowd, I believe we had 23 bikes

looks like fun. ive watched a few of the bike races/clinics when we go to the track with the porsches, and it looks like fun, minus the heat. i cant imagine being on a bike with full leathers and a helmet and not have anything but the airflow keeping you cool.

I saw somebody on a bike that looked like that wreck today. Apparently puddles and braking don't mix. Luckily he walked away.

I've never ridden a motorcycle. Does taking a knee to the ground like that feel natural?

yea, you're just leaning the bike over, and putting your knee down is just a gauge for how much room you still have to lean the bike over

the heat actually isn't that bad. I have a fully perforated suit, and I unzip it and have the top hang back while i'm in the pits

obv i only wear the helmet, gloves, back protector, and have the suit zipped, when it's time for me to go out.

Just too risky for my tastes. I wouldn't try to stop anyone else from wanting to do it though.

yea I'm not sure I'd want to race motorcycles. Track days are enough for me.

cars, I could definately see myself racing. I'm usually one of the fastest guys at track days, and could see getting into racing

on bikes, for one i'm not in the fast group yet, definately need a few more days on it. But even so, I don't think I'd race.
