    FS: 1991 325i - Turbocharged 2.7L Stroker & Much More

Yes folks you read that title correctly! I have decided to put my baby, my pride and joy up for sale. I purchased this car from a friend about 2 years ago with a tired stock 2.5L in it and it has been an ongoing project since then. The car now sits with a rebuilt 2.7L stroker motor that has been turbocharged. This car has had TONS of parts replaced besides the rebuild of the motor itself and EVERYTHING has 5000 miles on it or less. As far as the work on the car, 99% of it has been done by me and/or by the help of a good friend of mine who is an ASE certified mechanic. This car has never been in an accident and has all original paint and body panels. The odometer currently has just shy of 198,000 on the clock.

Of course all of the motor components have been replaced aswell [oil pump, water pump, timing belt, etc]. Also, I'm sure I am forgetting tons of parts I have chamged.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The car's issues...

First off, the paint in this car is original. While still looking decent it does show its age with some scratches and little dings aswell. On a scale of 1-10 i would rate it at a 6.5. The car has a bit of a stutter to it if you get on the thottle too fast before 4k [floor it]. I do not know what the cause of this is but I am sure it's Motronic related. The sunroof is missing the interior headliner piece that attaches to it. The interior is about 95% complete and currently lacks the front kick panels and driver side knee bolster. The hood latch handle is broken/missing. The bottom right screw for the HVAC panel is missing. The trunk lining and carpet has been removed from the trunk [previous owner]. The central locking currently is not working, I do not know what's wrong with it. This means the alarm also is currently not in use. Also, the trunk springs are currently not hooked up so it's a bit heavy to open. Fuel gauge is not working correctly and jumps around a lot but the low fuel light does work correctly every time. The power steering is currently not hooked up due to a leaky pump.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

All in all this car is nowhere near perfect and I have never claimed it to be. It still turns heads often and gets a ton of compliments. At a meet recently I was told "you have a beautiful E30" and that really felt good. This car is my pride and joy and I will miss it a LOT, it must go to a loving home! Oh yes, I know some of you are wondering, what kind of HP does it make? I have never dyno'd the car but I will put it simply, it hauls ass. [The car does NOT include the custom gauge pod or the Autometer gauges as shown in the pictures above.]

Asking price is $10,000 and I am open to all serious offers. I may also be interested in a trade for another E30 depending on the car at hand of course. Please contact me privately through PM or email if you're interested. My email is schwarze30@gmail.com if you'd like to contact me there. The car is located in La Crescenta, California 91214.

Dang what a nice fucking car man, sad to see it go. The asking price is very good and this thing should go in no time. Just don't sell it to some shit head ricer type. This car should go to a real enthusiast. Good luck with the sale.

As somebody who has spent quite a bit of time behind the wheel of this car I thought it may be a good idea to post my on it.

First off the power is very very nice, smooth throttle response, and even with the full throttle stutter it is not really that annoying, especially as flooring a turbo car below 4K rpm is not always the best idea, especially when exiting a corner. Be nice and smooth with the throttle and the stutter will never rear its ugly face.

Handling is very nice, and with the disconnected power steering the driver feedback is very connected to the road. No bad noises, nothing weird, exactly how an e30 should handle.

He mentioned the paint issues, and is 100% about that, from a distance it looks great, hell I never thought of any paint issues until I got near the car, and the problems are exactly as described.

Interior is awesome, the cloth sport seats are great and you never slide around, they hold you in place and with this much power its certainly a good thing to have.

The fuel gauge dances as said, I found it rather fun to try and make it dance based on how hard I would take the car into a corner, and sometimes I could actually make it read the correct fuel capacity.. I'm sure a new cluster mobo would correct that.

If anybody wants a non biased opinion (not that matt is biased at all) toss me a PM, although he is being 100% in his for sale ad.

          Thats my opinion of it!

so whats replacing it, whatre the plans?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

                    +1 -I'm guessing a S/M-motor swap in a e30 body

Aside from M3 bodies and clean S/M 50/2 swap cars yours is my fav. Good luck on the sale.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

How can you let that go?

I've had people ask if I would ever sell my car, and I've said no more times than I can count.

                        I <3 E30's. :D

                        Gorgeous car, Matt!
