    M50 owners-Can you help?

Looking at the pic above,i am trying to work out the Red wire which is to the left of the Orange relay?

The wire which i have bolted to it(Brown/Orange & Brown)are obviousley not right cause even tho the engine cranks over, there is no relays working hence no spark or fuel pump!

I have unbolted the offending wire and put a 12v feed directly to the Red and the relays then work with the ignition.

    So i have a couple of Q`s that i need answering -
1, Where does the offending lead containing Brown/Orange and Brown wire bolt to/do?If it helps it comes out of the main engine loom.
2, What bolts to the Red wire?

    Any help appreciated guys:)

    Oh and i should add-

Wiring instuctions came from Ian332isport from the E30Zone,very knowledgable man indeed when it comes to electrics, who has also done his own fantastic conversion!
Also the engine/wiring harness is from an E34.

Brown tends to be a ground or earth. So you were powering the ground that would prevent your main relay from being powered, Hang on Addismo has a simple loom web page that's up.

addissimo.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, addissimo.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

      Think it is sorted now!

Ian has just answered my post on the Zone and confirmed the Brown/Orange goes to earth and 12v from the battery goes to the Reds:)
going to give that a go in the morning!
