My brothers Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Project

My brother just got back in town with this 64 Cadillac limo Hearse. He is planning on restoring it, of course, and turning it into an Ecto-1. The actual Ecto-1 is a 59 Hearse limo combo "Miller Meteor" however it is very hard to find. The body is a little different. He actually just tracked down two of them but went ahead and bought this one for $400. The 59 is still in the works from what I understand. This thing is pretty intimidating in person. It's mad long and somewhat has a sinister character to it. Notice the headlights. I told him I could get him some ellipsoids but he declined LOL.... I admit, I am somewhat of a Ghostbusters fan myself. Then again, who of us were not Ghostbusters fans at least when younger. He's also built two replica Proton Packs to exact movie spec.

Indeed I will keep you guys posted.... It's not a costume. My brother put everything you see together. He bought the flight suit. Ordered the goggles from some military surplus place online etc... He built/dremeled the pack out of different molding and all kinds of crazy stuff. I'm sure he will look for a more efficient way to make them in the future though...

funny you bring up knowing all the lines, we were sitting there quoting lines as they pertained to what we were doing. I simply know alot of them because everytime I am flipping through channels and come upon GB, I have to watch all of it till the end. Never fails.

Jesse James tried to work on one of those 1960's hearses in the Monster Garage and the project gave him a very hard time. Back in those days cars were really made out of steel and were virtually bullet proof. When you see the old cop TV shows where the bad guys are using the car door as a shield as they are in the shootout with the cops, that is actually possible!
