M21d24 is a total hunk of shit

I'm tired of reading these threads/comments about how nice it would be to have a 324td/touring in the united states. Here are some words of wisdom for you:

    1. It's slow
    2. It's not that fuel effiecient
    3. The cool factor from bio-diesel is gone
    4. It blows heads like monica l.
    5. It shears flywheels that are only available new (~400-500)
It was a first attempt at making a fast diesel motor that sucked.

Change your wet dreams bio-diesel e30 projects to a M51d25, way better in every respect.

I just don't want anyone to be deceived like i was.

As someone that's actually driven a 524td in the states, I concur.

There's a reason diesels have a shitty reputation in the US.

I own one, and yes its:
          SLOW

          but i do get 750km on a 50liter tank.

however they are expensive to maintain once things like heads and INJECTION pumps start going.

Damn, what a shame. I too dream of smelling of french fries while driving down the road. M51 is a better bet, huh? Did those even get to the US?

A diesel engine is just a loan, you save in fuel just to spend all savings in fixing when it breaks down. :(

Just stick in a cummins inline 6 diesel and put a BMW on the valve cover?

Yep, the Lincoln Coupes and the diesel rangers got the M21 as well, both were collosal pieces of shit.

I went to look at a 41 Studebaker and the guy had a Lincoln with a diesel in it and he said that the motor was a BMW. I didn't think nothing of it at the time and i didn't bother looking under the hood either.

I once heard a story of someone trying to commit suicide in their garage with a biodiesel. They just ended up with a ton of acne.
                          tasty
