3.25LSD on stock M20 while waiting for M50?

I'm going to be putting an LSD on my 325i asap, and I'm trying to decide on a ratio. I definitely want a 3.25 once I do my m50 swap, but that could be up to a year and a half down the road. Is the 3.25 going to be too tall for the stock M20 (probably just going to chip it), or will it still be decently fast? I will be on the highway a lot, so the lower cruising RPM's would be nice if the city driving is tolerable. what do you think?

i think the 3.25 lsd should be pretty good for you. what is in there now?

you could go with say a 2.73 and cruise at 70 mph at 2000 rpms. lol

The 3.25 will be fine. I wouldn't mind having that ratio in my car for the better gas mileage.

My brother's '89 325i has the 3.25LSD and it's nice.

I'm throwing a 3.46 lsd on my 325e with a damn 5k redline until I do an "i" head swap.

If you need a 3.25LSD - I just swapped mine out for a 2.93 LSD on my e30 M3 s52b32 conversion. The 3.25 has about 114k on it. $400 OBO - JT
