I am just copying/pasting this from my CL add.. not trying to insult anyones E30 intelligence, just looking for something in better condition to start off with:
CL Add:
I have a Red 1989 BMW 325is for sale. I have the title and bill of sales from earlier this week. I purchased the car 3 days ago for $1400 to work on as a project car and decided that I dont really want a project car, just something to take to the track. I put in $40 in gas to drive it home and am just looking to get what I paid for it. Parting the car out would definitally bring me more money, but am just looking to get it moving..
So the car.. The one flaw is that there is a sizable dent on the rear, drivers side quater panel. It DOES not go any further than the fender and did not cause and frame damage. The paint is a factory stage 1 paint and will turn a nice red with a bit of detailing. It comes with pretty rare sport seats with full side/ lumbar bolsters, leg supports and are REAL leather, not the fake vynil on the majority of E30 BMWs. There are cracks and tears in them, but are not missing any padding or support.
The dash is uncracked (pretty hard to come by) and same goes for all of the glass on the car. The carpet is in good shape with just 1 tear near the accelerator.
I picked the car up 3 days ago, as previously stated, and apparently the sunroof stoped working a few days before that.. Probally something small.
Comes with stock basketweave wheels and full size bottlecap spare wheel/tire. Has the factory BMW tool kit in the trunk.
The engine runs well and pulls REALLY hard. I was actually suprised. The car has ~174,000 miles and the engine is great.
The front tires are new and the rear tires will need to be replaced. I was also told that there is a small exhaust crack, but passed Mass. emissions recently so it should be fine.
Also has the "is" sport rear lip soiler.
I can get pics if you are interested. I will try and answer all questions to my best ability. I picked the car up and have done nothing else since.
The price is what it is. The car was listed by the previous owner at $1950, looking to get $1700 out of it. If offered $1400 because I thought it was a very fair deal, little more towards me.. but not a slap in the face, lowball. The car is $1400 and is non negotiable. This is a deal, I will do whatever I can to help, but first to get $1400 to me takes it. Whether you want it for parts or to mess around in, it is yours.
Thanks
