so i got the car back from the body shop after 4 months of fighting and getting every little thign taken care of..and all brand new front ix drivetrain from bmw of munich germany...
had it for 3 days...
traded cars with my good friend... was fallowing him out in south center and some stupid blonde bitch slid out into the road from a parking lot and he had to swerve so he didnt hit her..well in doing so he lost control and started to spin..hit one tree..spun again into the next tree....it gets worse..the chick took off... and i get home after his AAA flat beded the car home for me.. and i had a small stack of mail.. in which was a $50 check from my insurance.. i read further to find out the my insurance had lapsed becuase they had an issue with my easy pay system pulling money directly from my bank account..

so if anyone has an 5spd 91 325i/is trans in good shape, an M20 oil pan, an 89-91i/is clutch/flywheel assembly thats brand new just collecting dust, and an "is" front valance
Please LMK as im going to be transfering averything over to my 91 325i i have sitting in my driveway...
ALSO, does anyone know if the i to ix struts/springs are the same? i have full bilstien sport struts and H&R sport springs in the "ix" and want to put them on the 91I if i can..
(BTW there is no carpet due to the body shop never installing the back/front window secondary seals so it leaked like a siv... i guess also helped in both windows ending up about 50' from the car after it hit the tree:'-( )

That's terrible! I mean we always want to do the "right" thing and attempt to avoid the accident when stupid people do stupid things but situations like this show me why you should hit the obstruction directly in front of you. My friend who drives a commuter bus (old greyhound bus) says all the time that if someone jumps in front of him, he isn't going to endanger other people in an attempt to avoid the accident.

i would have had i known what happened at the time..all i seen was my car start to spin,, hit a tree and when it hit the tree all i could see was the bottom of the car till it came down into the other tree...

my first thought was make sure my friend was ok and get him the F'k out of the car....

after that i assesed the situation and asked what happened..and then went F**K! i should have chased her...lol


as far as the insurance, im not going to even bother going through them..as i already have 2 large claims that were on the verge of total in the last 7 months... first a guy backed into my nose and ran while i was in walmart..

the second a semi came into my lane and i locked the wheels up on the freeway and slid into the ditch....

so ya.. im just stripping it and building my 91 325i race car up with the parts

Sounds like a really crappy set of events. Sorry to hear. Strangely, I find Jscotty's position to be sound in this - I know I run around in my Landcruiser with a hell of a lift, big mudders, & bullbar on it knowing I'll auger square whatever gets in my way, mainly because a Landcruiser don't juke & jive like a sportscar but also because I don't want to avoid an idiot just to find I slammed into another car who didn't deserve it.

Ya im just going to down shift and smash the crap out of morons if they get in my way anymore(i also have an 84 ranger 4X4 that is getting a little upgrade at the moment.. 4.0L FI swap/ 6" susp. lift/ 3" body lift/ 35" Super swamper TSL boggers.. it too has the smitty built "pre-runner" style offroad bumpers) and yes..i hit things alot with it..my fav. thing to do is get drunk and 4-wheel in the mountains.. you arent going to hurt anyone..and well you end up with some wicked battle scars on the truck the next day to laugh about and wonder how teh F' they go tthere LMAO!


but as far as his ins. im not even going to bother dealing with the hassle anymore.. i effing hate bullshit insurance company's im in the midst of sueing farmers as it is for being worthless piles of ass.. the whole reason the shop had my car for 4 months is farmers never checked in..and then when the shop said "oh ya..that driver wheel thats sucked into the door and the blown front diff. werent caused by the accident" farmers believed them and never bothered to call me about it....

so im just going to go out of pocket and build my other car up and have even more fun living life sideways ;-)

kinda sucks too..last week a actually looked into it and my car was not only the 88 325ix one year only 2drAWD but it was also the Mtech edition of the one year only..atleast thats what the paper said... it also said there was only like 700 of them ever made :(

Man that sucks. I have Farmers right now and I have to say that I agree with you. They are morons. I changed electronic draft bank accounts with them over 2 months ago, gave them a voided check and they changed the accounts right in front of me. Gave me paperwork to sign, etc.. made it all final. 2 months later my old bank is sending me more mail then the usual statements.. open it up to find NSF fee after NSF fee because Farmers is repeatedly trying to take money out of the wrong account. Basically my account has numerous NSF fees on it, and then Farmers also wants to charge me $20 on their side per try they made. Totals like $180 and they refuse to accept that it was their screwup. The local office says they did everything right and won't cover it, the national office says it the local offices fault and won't cover it.
