Correct M Tech Shift Knob and Boot?

Hey, folks. Looking to get an M Tech shift knob and boot for my 1990 325is, but not sure which is the correct one or how many there were. I know the early M Tech knob/boot for the M3 (PN: 25112225873) is the single piece shaped like a golf tee, but all the sites selling it say it doesn't fit my car, which is strange. Is that true? I also found the single piece knob/boot with the ergo knob (PN: 25111221510), but don't know if that is an M Tech. Part of me wonders for the later models it was all the same ergo knob/boot and they just dropped in the M Tech emblem.

Any guidance on this would be great. Thanks!

Painting rocker panels and bottom of rear valance

Hey, all. I'm new around here. Just picked up an Alpine White 1990 325is. It's in great condition, but some of the black on the rocker panels and the lower part of the rear valance has come off revealing the white underneath. Is there a way for me to paint these using trim paint? Or is this something a pro paint shop needs to handle?

Thanks for the help!

Help: Alignment Troubles

Hello ! So recently i’ve been attempting to get my E30 aligned properly as the car does not self steer back to center and appears to be ‘crab walking’ when driving in a straight line.

modifications :

Front: E36 BC Coilovers / Knuckles, GAS (FAPO) E30/36/46 angle kit, E46 Purple Tag Rack

Rear: E30 BC Coilovers, Poly trailing arm bushings , Poly subframe riser bushings, Normal Poly Diff Bushing (not raised) 5 Lug Conversion, Toe / Camber Eccentrics

Method : A combination of Toe plates and string alignment. the string is measured from axel / wheel bearing nut on each corer and adjusted so that the string is equal distance from each front and rear independently. when these numbers match, i’m confident the string is parallel to the frame.

Questions:

1) when pulling back steering rack boots, i’ve verified that rack is centered among itself (inner shaft same distance from outer rack housing on both sides) , but when i zero out the toe i am clearly seeing a difference in exposed thread on the outer tie rods. a. is this okay ? and b. why is this? is the rack not centered among the chassis? i am fairly certain that caster (lollipops) and camber(tophats) is the same on each side.

1) in the rear, i have zero toe in reference to the strings (parallel to car) but i believe the rear thrust may be off. crude measurements show a slight difference in measurement from wheel to front of rear arch. i believe this to be the cause of my ‘crab walk’ issue. is there any way to correct this?

Car has a clean title and does not appear to have pickups damaged also.

Thank you in advance !

CaTuned Coilovers, Ground Control, Air Suspension Reviews

My car has the B12 Pro Kit on it now, no issues with it to speak of but some adjustability would be nice. I was planning on going Ground Control in time, but I found a good deal on some new CaTuned coilovers locally, was wondering if anyone had any opinions on them.

Sidebar, I did pickup a widebody kit a couple months ago, but to get any decent fitment on it really needs bags. I am a recovering stancelife guy, and my current build is really meant to be a fun street car for the occasional twistys (small turbo, low to mid 300s), but I’ve never driven a bagged car and I’m pretty hesitant about performance of bags, so interested in anyone’s feedback there.

TLDR; I have the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit, it’s fine but I want to go lower. Was going to either do Ground Control or Bags, but scared of bags and found a deal on CaTuned coils on marketplace.
