Fuel Gauge help needed

Hi, new user so thanks in advance for reading and any help you can offer.

‘89 325is new to me.

fuel gauge is mostly stuck on empty all the time. If I persistently knock on the gauge it might move a little or not at all.

removed back seat and did ohm testing on both senders, one at around 20 with tank half-ish full, the other (passenger/fuel pump side) at zero.

I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a sender issue or a gauge/grounding issue before I spend any money or go further.

thanks

I just got an 84 E30 318 I and I’m blessed with touring seats. I can’t get the mechanism to recline the seats to work well. It seems that this hinge on the inside does not follow the hinge on the outside when I activate the mechanism. Why is there so much slop

Is there a remedy for this?
