    1991 318i Slicktop Touring - M54 Swapped making 245whp - Seattle, Washington

    CAR IS TENTATIVELY SOLD

    Hey R3v,

Up for sale is my 1991 BMW 318i E30 Touring.

The vehicle was imported from The Netherlands in Sept. 2020, and has a clean and clear Washington State Title in my name. This touring is a bare bones spec E30. It originally had no power steering (which I later retrofitted), manual crank windows, no A/C, no stereo and no sunroof! This touring is a true lightweight example, and makes for a phenomenal drivers experience. In it's current state, the car weighs 2750lbs with a half tank of gas. The Chassis itself has 280k kilometers (173k miles) and features a working odometer.

The original M40b18 engine and transmission was removed in favor of a 2004 M54B30 engine and Getrag 260 5-speed transmission, producing 245 wheel horsepower (Dyno proven). Upon removal of the original drivetrain, many items were replaced with new units. See list below:

    DRIVETAIN:
M54B30 w/ 95k miles. This car made 245WHP on the dyno.
    Port and polished head
Arc Asylum Custom Subframe and Rear Sump oil pan
Getrag 260 Transmission with Z3 short shifter and Garagistic Dual sheer selector rod and Delrin bushings
    Brand new NW Drivelines Driveshaft
3.91 Limited Slip Differential ( I also have a 3.46 differential I can either include or install at a agreed price)
Spec 2 Kevlar Clutch - Daily driver friendly
    Engine programmed by Megasquirt 3
    Shrick Cams
    M50 intake manifold
    New injectors
M56 Aluminum Valve Cover w/ built in Internal CCV system
    OBD2 S52 headers
    Custom Exhaust
Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator w/ all new expansion tank and rubber hoses
Zionville Billet thermostat housing (replaces the dreaded plastic thermostat housing)
Brand new Porsche 944 Brake booster to retain factory brake pedal feel
Brand new Walhbro Fuel Pump and One way valve

    SUSPENION/STEERING:
16x7 and 16x9 Avez wheels with new Toyo Proxes R1R tires (will also come with a set of 14in BBS basketweaves)
    New E46 ZHP Steering rack
New E36 Tie Rods (to accommodate the E46 Steering Rack)
Condor Racing Steering Column Delrin Guibo
    New Control Arms
New E30 M3 solid control arm bushings
21mm E30 Convertible front sway bar (OEM upgrade), with new sway bar bushings
    Bilstein Sport Shocks
    Bavauto Touring Spec lowering springs
    Garagistic 80a rear subframe bushings
Garagistic Rear Camber Correction - Weld-In Serrated Plates
    New Trailing Arm Bushings

    INTERIOR:
Clean Anthracite Sport Cloth interior with rear headrests
Brand new Professionally installed Black headliner by NW Crafted
Working Schnozer Net and Cargo Cover
BMW Motorsport Golf Ball shift knob

All maintenance is up to date and needs nothing but to be enjoyed.
I have a small shop in Bellevue, WA with 12+ years of experience wrenching on these wonderful machines.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in May, and with myself already having a fun weekend car, I'd like to sell this to fund a newer, safer Child Hauler.

Please understand: I am in no rush, or am I desperate to sell this E30. It is an awesome machine and would be very difficult to replicate at the given prices that these cars have been demanding the last few years. If you are looking for a turnkey car to enjoy, and not worry about losing value, this is the car for you.

    $25,000 Or best reasonable offer
