    SOLD - FS: 1991 318is Coupe - M52 Swap - Atlanta, GA - SOLD

    SOLD

For sale is my 1991 BMW E30 318is with M52 engine swap, recently featured here in April as COTM. It has many modifications (see below). This car has been in my household since 2005 and I daily drove it from 2010 to 2017, until I stripped it for paint and the engine swap. This car was built to be an aggressive street car but would be perfect for autocross or the occasional track day.

    Engine/Drivetrain
M52b28 ALUMINUM block w/90k miles -- This is a somewhat rare engine as it only came in the ’97-’98 Z3 2.8 here in the U.S. I kept the engine on OBD2. OBD2 connector in glovebox.
    ZF 320 Transmission from an E36 M3 – Detent pins serviced/replaced
Sachs single mass flywheel and clutch kit
Z3 2.8/3.0 short shifter w/ Garagistic shift bushings
    3.15 Torsen LSD from a ’99 Z3
    AKG polyurethane engine mounts
E21 transmission mounts w/ Garagistic aluminum cups
    M3 Firewall covers
    M50 Intake manifold
    KA Motors cold air intake
    Achilles oil pan baffle
    Porsche 944 Brake booster
SPAL puller fan with adjustable fan controller
Air Conditioning – New compressor installed with engine, system is fully converted to R134a
A/C idle bump wired into ECU (idle kicks up when A/C button is pressed)
HVAC blower motor and resistor replaced in 2014 with Brand New GENUINE BMW parts

    Exhaust
    Stock m52 manifolds
    Syncro Design Works down pipes
    Magnaflow Catalytic converter
    Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator
    Magnaflow muffler and exhaust tip

    Suspension/Steering:
Ronal LS 15” wheels – powdercoated in 2019 by Global Tires
New tires in 2019 – have around 3k miles on them – 205/55 front and 225/50 rear
E36 Steering Rack (3.4 turns lock to lock instead of 4)
    Red46 Skid Plate
    H&R Race springs w/ E90 drophats
Bilstein Sport Struts and Shocks – Rear shocks are brand new
    Garagistic front strut brace
    Front subframe reinforced
Rear sway bar reinforcement brackets and trailing arm reinforcement tabs
    Condor stackable rear spring pads
Suspension Techniques sway bars front and rear
Polyurethane diff mount and trailing arm bushings
    M3 Offset control arm bushings

    Interior:
Reupholstered front seats – German Vinyl – upholstery done by Kevin Chinn – mechanicals not perfect
New headliner (done by Kevin Chinn) w/ dynamat on roof - small hole near back window thanks to the tint guy and his lack of skill with a heat gun
Momo steering wheel – worn but absolutely one of my favorite steering wheels
    35% tint
    Recovered rear deck shelf
B pillars wrapped in OEM looking vinyl
Gauge Cluster rebuilt by Bavarian Restoration and added gauge rings
JVC Bluetooth stereo (microphone near visor)
Pioneer front component speakers w/ crossovers mounted behind dash
ZHP shift knob w/ shift and brake boots done by Kevin Chinn
    E36 Window Switches
    BMW Performance Pedal set
    Volt gauge (in HVAC panel)
*Wired for subs and amps* - all factory speaker wiring fully intact

*Dash does have some cracks and headliner is stained in back from when the windows were leaking*

    Exterior:
Repainted in 2017 and converted back to slicktop (previously had a dealer installed ASC sunroof that was broken)
    New windshield
New exterior window sweeps, new front and rear BMW emblems
    Euro replica grilles
OEM IS lip w/ RyanG Front splitter
    Ford Taurus side skirts
    IS rear spoiler
Depo smiley headlights w/ 35w HID
    Smoked marker lights
Red tinted tail lights (very subtle) and LED tag lights
    Front plate delete cover
    Euro rear plate filler
    Pop out rear windows
Antenna mast and grommet replaced - Power antenna fully functional

Overall, this car is in very good condition. The engine runs GREAT and it handles very well. I had intentions of keeping this car a very long time and all of the work I did was done to a high standard. However, this is still a 31 year old car. The paint is pretty nice but the bodywork and prep is not perfect (some paint cracking on roof). With that said, it still looks good and shows well in pictures. Absolutely NO RUST on this car (spent most of its time in North Carolina and Georgia). This car is an absolute riot to drive and does not disappoint. I drove it to North Georgia a few weeks ago and it didn't skip a beat. If you're looking for a swapped e30 that turns heads but is not a garage queen, this is the car for you.

I'm happy to answer questions and send more photos. Just send me a PM with your phone number and I can text them to you.

Asking $19,000 OBO. Will consider trades if you happen to have an E46 ZHP 6MT sedan and are willing to put cash on top.

    Thanks for looking!

Having put together a car very similar to this I can say with some authority that this is a great package and a good value. It takes some effort to get all the bits and pieces working and even more to make it as tidy as this one presents.

        GLWS!

Actually I already have an e46 coupe lol. Looking to sell that for a sedan if I can find a good one. A 4 door just seems a lot more practical for me.
