This is my dad's car, he's third owner. Bought in 1999 eith 54K miles. Just to give you an idea of how he drives, I have replaced brake rotors and pads in 2002 with all brand new componenets (ATE Power Slot rotors in the front, brand new rear stock rotors, metalmaster pads). Today, those pads still have more than HALF of the friction material left...
I have all of tha manuals, all records since new.
Dealer maintained until 2003, then I did all the work on it myself.
Brand new Alusil short block installed in Septmber 2001 under recall for Nikasil blocks and bunch of other engine parts replaced at that time.
Two sets of wheels/tires:
Stock with Blizzaks WS-50
17" Mille Miglia MM2 17x8 front 17x9 rear with 245/45-17 AES 100 Yokohama tires all around.
15k miles on completely rebuild suspension. All new control arms, links, steering components, bushings front/rear/subframe/diff etc. 750iL thrust arm bushing upgrade. Front SA yellow Koni shocks. Alternator replaced 2006. Blue BMW coolant, flushed last January. New plugs, filters etc.
Last month: New DS oxygen sensor, both coolant temp sensors.
6 disk CD changer. Front heated seats, driver lumbar support. Traction control. AC works fine.
