Ok, this isn't Jordan perfect - I'm not sure that's even a good enough word for what Jordan built - but I'm thinking of parting ways with my E30.
About the car:
1989 325is
227k (if this discourages you go elsewhere)
Fastidiously Maintained
Black and Black
Exterior:
Stripped to bare metal and painted about 8 years ago. This was a taped jamb version, not rotisserie, paint still looks amazing as I get it ceramic coating annually.
Real 16" Alpinas with good rubber gaskets
Dunlap DZ101 that have 50% life left
Euro Grilles
IS Side Skirts
Euro Trim
Interior:
New Dash
New Center Console(s)
MT2 Wheel
One piece lighted shifter
Z3 short throw
CD43
Audison Voce with Hertz amp in factory housings
Cluster Restored in 2018 by Bav Restorations
Maplight mirror
New Headliner
Sunroof converted to manual and ALL parts replaced
Perfect leatherette sport interior - sourced 3 sets of seats 10+ years ago and reupholstered and swapped mechanicals for perfect seats
Mechanicals:
Timing belt and all belts done during ownership
Valve/Head/Oil pan gaskets done during ownership
Bilstein / H&R Sport / ST Sways / Camber Plates / Rear adjustable links
Supersprint Muffler
Drive shaft, calipers, and much more replaced during ownership
When I look at the car the list of original parts is the smallest:
- Motor
- Tranny
- Diff
- Door panels
- Things like strut tower housings
This was meant to be my last and final E30, the one that got ALL the things from all the previous 4. The one I'd never sell.
Well, long story short, this is one of 9 cars in the driveway/garage and it gets the least usage. It's perfect. It's not a garage queen - it's driven from NH to the Tail, etc - but it's the last car I reach for the keys for. It's not that it's bad, it's just that there's other stuff in the garage now that gets me more excited. And honestly, I need the garage space.
Thinking of going on Cars and Bids next month!
Asking $25k and willing to work with the right buyer that's also willing to do a right of first refusal on their future sale.
