The car has some work to do to get it perfect but it is a solid start for anyone looking for an S52 swapped E30. I’ll try to dig up additional details.

Here is the story. The car was purchased here by my best friend about 10+ years ago. It was a clean and functional swap car. He had it shipped here to western NC and drove it daily for years. He parked it because the new UUC lightweight flywheel and M5 clutch had a vibration or chatter. He was going to send it to UUC for inspection and balancing. Long story short of it, he moved and left it sitting outside of his old house, uncovered, for about 7 years. I tried to buy it multiple times and finally talked him into selling it. I put a battery in it and a new fuel pump and it fired first turn. I’ve put new tires on it, had it painted, purchased seat covers to install on the sport seats and have driven it to work and back a few times. Someone will want to drive it and continue to update things that come up while driving. I was going to slowly start changing brake lines, wheel bearings and other small stuff but I have lost the passion. I’ve got three other cars that I’m constantly tinkering on and don’t have time and space to work on all of them. Runs and drives well.

    S52 motor
    KA intake
    Swapped in a crack-free dash.
AC Schnitzer Type 1 wheels, 16” in 4x100 (rare)
UUC lightweight flywheel and M5 clutch
New tires, less than 100 miles
    L-Seat front covers (not installed)
New paint (swirls from a few washes. PPG diamond schwarz & clear )
4.10 rear end (had 3.73 but believe it was stolen out of parts bin
bucket of spare parts gauge cluster etc

    Cons
    - Still need some final updating of rubber components
    - Interior will need a little cleanup. I have gauge bezel and seat belt buckles to install.
    - Headliner could use a replacement
    - Paint is a decent job all the way around. Black plastics and trunk lip were painted black during paint job. They don’t look the best but it shows well from 10ft
    - Tach isn’t reading correctly after dash swap. Haven’t troubleshot but it’s reading higher than it should be

Asking 14k. Probably forgetting some pros and cons. Love to see it go to an enthusiast to enjoy. It’s a riot.

Quick note about the tach not reading right. It probably just needs the coding chip swapped (~$30 part) to switch it from 4cyl to 6cyl. Nice car - glws

Thanks. I didn’t know it had to be changed when the cluster was swapped. Learned something today.

Any photos of the interior? You mentioned maintenance for brakes and wheel bearings. Are those in need of immediate attention or is the car safe to drive? Any signs of rust discovered during the painting process?

Sorry for late responses. It is not a slick tip. I drove it this weekend and realized that the sunroof isn’t adjusted properly. The back sits lower than the front. It has brand news seals from the repaint but I guess the painter either didn’t adjust or install them correctly. I washed the car this weekend and noticed some water leaking after rinsing. I’ve searched how to adjust the sunroof position but have been too busy to try it.

I have way too many projects going on right now. This is a running and driving car. Just needs some driving and tlc
                      from sitting for a while.

changed thermostat and installed fresh coolant. Heater now blows hot and temp gauge function is normal. also of note, it runs an aluminum radiator by Godspeed and has an aluminum thermostat housing.

honestly, the biggest thing keeping me from driving this daily is having someone adjust/inspect the balance of the UUC lightweight flywheel.

Posting photos on this forum always challenges me. PM me your number and I can send additional pictures.

A little more TLC and money and this is an amazing car. I just have too much going on. Don’t really want to sell but willing to give someone a decent deal so it doesn’t sit.

I have new, not installed seat covers for the front seats as well.

I also have a brand new in box gas tank. A common problem is the tank at the neck up top will leak. I only fill the car to 3/4 tank and no leaking. I went ahead and purchased a brand new tank but haven’t installed. Too much going on to keep working on it hence the sale.
