    1984 325e | 75K orig miles | 2nd owner | $13.5K

1984 BMW 325e with 75.6K original miles | bronzeit with original tan interior. Unmolested California car retaining its “rising sun” license plates with a first digit of “2”. These plates were only issued from 1982-87.

This is rare example in that it was purchased new by a female UCLA professor through BMW’s European delivery program and was owned by her until 2020 when she went into hospice. The original owner kept every receipt from new including the Euro delivery paperwork, original sales brochure, every service receipt from new (in a 1980s notebook) and of course all the manuals, keys and tools, first aid kit, and breakdown kit. This car is as it was sold in 1984… box stock and in perfect running order with passed CA smog (dated 14 Feb 2023) and title in hand.

A bit more about this 325e:

    1. All original bronzeit paint
    2. 2.7L 6 cylinder “eta” engine, 75K documented miles
    3. Automatic transmission (yes, I wish it was a manual too!)
    4. Original electric sunroof
    5. Crack-free original dashboard
    6. Air conditioning (was recharged by representing dealer and blew cold but does not at present)
    7. Original alloy “bottlecap” wheels (5 incl. spare)
    8. Original cloth interior in near mint condition w/ exception of some wear in driver’s seat cushion (see pics)
    9. Original sport seats (made by Recaro)
    10. Original Blaupunkt AM/FM/Cassette stereo (FM not working but AM and cassette work fine)
    11. Full operational auto retracting antenna
    12. 13 button on-board computer
    13. Original first-aid and breakdown kits
    14. No rust
    15. Maintenance records from new organized in a notebook
    16. All keys, manuals, and tools

The preventative maintenance completed under my ownership include:
    1. Timing belt replacement
    2. Water pump replacement
    3. Oil change (Mobil 1)
    4. Replaced stock sealed beams with H4 headlights
    5. Passed smog in hand (dated 14 Feb 2023)

The car needs nothing to be a reliable everyday driver if so desired. The “flaws” are: 1) There is likely a freon leak in the AC system, 2) the FM portion of the stereo does not work, 3) the weather stripping on the rear pop-out windows needs to be replaced, 4) the driver’s seat cushion shows some wear, 5) passenger side window switch is intermittent.

    Many more pics; just ask.
