    1993 325i / 325ic Convertible 5 Speed

We're selling Bertina, my wife's 1993 325i convertible that we've reconditioned and owned over the last 15 years with full service records! Last year of the classic and collectible E30 body style with the desirable late model style bumpers, smooth shifting 5 speed Getrag manual transmission paired with BMW's legendary bulletproof M20 inline six engine that earned it the reputation of the ultimate driving machine!

Lots of tasteful upgrades! No leaks, and drives like a much, much newer car due to all the mechanical work that's been done - ALL seals (minus real engine seal), gaskets and hoses in the engine were replaced in 2019 (~15k miles back) during replacement of timing belt (and took the opportunity to give it a cylinder head refresh), with receipts to prove!

-Meticulously maintained and garage kept with full service and parts records over 15-year ownership.
-Restored electric power top motors on this car
-Upgraded to heated leather recaro style BMW sport seats, perfect for those cool fall and winter evening drives by the coast!
-BMW M-tech Sport steering wheel (converted from original air bag wheel, looks and feels much better!)
-Upgraded Ellipsoid headlights (from original sealed beam) and foglights
-H&R Springs & Bilstein shocks/struts (just very slightly lowered)
-A/C blows cold, fully rebuilt in 2014 with new condenser, receiver dryer, etc.
-Recent lightweight 15" D-Force wheels for much better tire options than factory 14"
-Recent Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 summer performance tires with lots of thread (see pictures)
-Troublesome throttle body heater cork gasket has been replaced with a custom EDPM gasket so no more coolant leaks from this area!
-Smog numbers have been exceptionally low since engine rebuild in 2019 (see recent smog) car will be smogged for sale.
-Kenwood bluetooth stereo with Alpine amplifier
    -Full factory toolkit
-Convertible top is still in good condition. Rear window shows some slight oxidation but visibility is still very good.

-Oil changed every 3K miles (5w-50 or 15w-50 Full Synthetic only with OEM Mann filter) with other fluids changed on schedule or sooner
-No deferred maintenance on this car for any unwanted surprises!

-Paint is a decent 7.5/10. Still holds a great shine, but has some minor scuffs and peeling on some edges, but not noticeable from 10 feet. Car has been fully detailed for sale.
-Interior is 8.5/10 with some really minor scuffs starting to show on drivers seat. Dash is cracked, which is common for E30s of this vintage.
-Mechanical condition is a 9.5/10. You won't find a better running and reliable E30 than this one for sale. Engine is clean and smooth and shifts perfect! Brakes stop on a dime and handles tight with the upgraded suspension. You won't think this is a 30+ year vehicle!

-2.5L M20 Engine was personaly rebuilt in 2019 when timing belt was due with all new BMW/OEM parts with full parts documentation. All engine seals and gaskets were replaced, except for the rear main seal. Head was checked at local cylinder head specialist (Precision Cyliner Heads). Valves adjusted. Every nut and bolt was torqued to specs. Every mating surface was cleaned. No oil or fluid leaks on a 30+ year old!
-Odometer had been repaired since early in our ownership, but instrument cluster was replaced by previous owner so the odometer reading isn't actual mileage.
-The title on the vehicle is clean, but apparently shows salvage on my insurance due to an accident from previous ownership. Unfortunately nothing I can do about this, but it doesn't detract from the immaculate condition of the vehicle.
-Differential pinion bearing has a slight whine that is noticeable with the top up, but you won't hear it top-down.
-Engine uses about 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles, which hasn't changed in the last 15 years. This is well within tolerance and is quite common among M20 engines. The low oil level warning in the overhead console tells you when the engine is down a quart.

Here is a list of some of the recent work done besides the oil changes (which we also have records for!). Every single part brand documented so you know exactly what was put into the car!
06/25/25, 148,313, Brake and Clutch full fluid flush (DOT4)
03/08/23, 144,272, Anti-freeze Flush (Zerex G46), Replaced blower motor and resistor pack
10/10/22, 143,446, Checked ignition system, replaced spark plugs (NGK ZGR5A)

06/19/19, 136,872, Replaced Fuel pump, fuel filter, crankshaft position sensor, starter, ignition coil
04/28/19, 136,338, Top engine rebuild (Valve job & seals, valve adjustment, timing belt and water pump, hoses etc) with full records of parts replaced/serviced
    02/09/18, 132,733, Replaced accelerator cable
02/03/18, 132,652, Replaced starter with rebuilt unit
    10/16/17, 130,721, Replaced Air Filter
    09/01/17, 128,938, Replaced Distributor Cap & Rotor

Asking a reasonable $11k for one of the most beautiful, well maintained and reliable E30s you'll find!
