    Craigslist find in MA - 91 318is and 91 325ic same seller

    Hey guys,
no affiliation but a dealer is selling 2 nice looking E30's on craigslist

    318is - http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/ctd/1804771663.html

    325ic - http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/ctd/1804764425.html

It's not too far from me so if someone was seriously considering one of them and wanted someone to go check them out I'd be willing

318is has been in an accident in 2007. It also has odometer roll back. They messed with the miles a few years back.

Car was purchased at a Boston auction a month ago for $1050

Stopped by on my way home from work to take a look at the 318iS. I've been by this dealer a few times before. Never really got a good impression from the place, but figured a little look couldn't hurt. Didn't look like anyone was around. (No one came out to talk to me. In fact, I've never spoken with anyone who works there.)

                Quick summary:
                • one mismatched tire that's almost at the wear bars and has many shallow cracks in the side wall
                • RF tire has a gouge in the side wall. There isn't a bubble, but I'd want to replace the tire
                • several cracks in the dash, and rear spoiler
                • no front iS lip; "orange peel" on lower part of both bumpers
                • no ash tray
                • aftermarket radio w/CD
                • what looked to be a somewhat dodgy muffler/exhaust
                • large chip on hood
                • there wasn't any obvious rust, but I didn't have a jack/lift to really look :)

I took some pics with my phone. Sorry about the quality on some of them, it's all I had.

The rest of the pics. I forgot about the crack in the paint on the RR fender.

I was really hoping that it would be in better shape. :(

EDIT: Something else I forgot. That's water in the pic of the large chip (the one with my thumb). A quick rain shower went through the area a few minutes before I stopped.

I ran carfax on it which showed both the accident and mile roll back.

Then I searched Manheim and ADESA auto auction past sale history and found that this car was sold for $1050

Easy. Become a licensed car dealer or find one who will let you use their accounts :D
