    1987 325i sedan E30 w/ M20 $800

For Sale is a Navy Blue, 4 dr, 325i. I bought it a couple yrs ago and been driving it daily until it popped a timing belt and ate a bunch of rockers and some valves. I replaced the head, timing belt seals etc and have been driving it for a month or so. It broke down again today. It's running very rough and their is very loud clattering/hammering coming from the head/valve cover. I havn't pulled the valve cover off and don't know if I want to. There are many good parts and at $800 OBO the car will be great for either a project or for parts. It had the clutch rebuilt about a yr ago. The interrior is tan leather. Both front seats are very worn. There is very little/no rust and as far as I can tell it has never been wrecked. Premium sound & BMW casette radio. The odometer says 90K but it hasn't worked since I bought it from the original owner. they claim it worked and the miles are now barely over 100k.

The car is in St. Louis, MO.

    New Pics

Here are some additional pics. I'm going to pull the VC and have a look at the top of the head. I'll post what I find this weekend.

Pulled the Valve cover this weekend. Everything still in place but running and making hammering noise. I'm not sure what it is but it can't be good. Maybe a rod. I want to sell it as is. It will drive, but I wouldn't want to drive it any farther than onto a trailer for a ride to a new home. Make me an offer.
