    dear rwh11385,

Oh, lets all hail this wonderful human being.. he gains enjoyment and personal satisfaction by attempting to crap on other people's threads.

Bottom line, the other individual wasn't trying to bestow any sage advice, he was trying to "shit on my thread" (as you so eloquently stated)

I just wanted to make sure that you understood that I am not a noob.... BTW you have obviously shown that you are.

I probably bought my first Bimmer before you mother breached your pathetic self.

Please have the decency to leave me alone as I didn't pursue this ridiculous argument with someone who can't even list their true home town in their profile.

    Pathetic, sad, and laughable.

Hang in there, John. I just had the A/C completely rebuilt for $2500. I sold mine in 2007 for $7500, bought it back in 2010 for $8000 and I hear a photo shoot we did recently will be in Bimmer Mag this fall.

When did you buy your first Bimmer? You're certainly a n00b here, Mar 2012 join date.

And how did you calculate your fair market value of your car? Add purchase value along with cost of services done to it? Should I add $40 to the value of my car when I do an oil change? $800 when I buy new tires, every time?

As far as price goes think of it this way. When you buy a new car the value of the car immediately starts to drop. Same concept applies to new parts on a used car. 10k in parts does not mean the car is worth that or even necessarily close to that. Guess what? This is the internet. People post what they think, that's what forums like this were made for. You're the one coming off as a dick by getting all pissed off because people don't value the car that YOU put money and time into as much as you do. Sentimental value is a bitch, and if you can't set it aside you'll have a hard time selling the car.

OMG... PLEASE... crawl back under the rock that you came out from under. No I haven't been on this forum all that long but, I have positively owned more Bimmers and for a longer period of time that you.

Go away... do I f^^K with your posts???? What is your deal?

You have no clue about the value of a car, no clue what it takes to build a nice vehicle and positively no idea what the hell you are talking about.
you accused me of padding the price, you do the amount of restorative work to anything and try to tell me that you would attach no value to it.

Last post to you. Leave me alone.

PS. If you want an attitude adjustment, I would be happy to give you one. If you would like to compare brain pans... I am afraid you would find yourself unarmed....

                People like you suck.

if you wish to continue this absurd convo... PM me so that the rest of the world can be spared any further exposure to your special brand of idiocy.

Pm Me.... Please.. I am really tired of you screwing with my post... that is unless there is nothing else to do in your parent's basement.

Curious exactly what that NEW motor is and how you came up with the $4.6kay.

I wish to thank all of you for your insight.

I am not attaching sentimental value to the car. Yes, i have worked very hard on it and would welcome any CONSTRUCTIVE advice.

Being told that i am trying to misrepresent a car or pad a price is ridiculous.

I know what I have in the car and if you all believe that a completely redone e30 is nigh worthless...OK I guess that i need to shop for a different brand of vehicle next time.

no need to get nasty and insulting. And definitely no need to expect that I will take your crap. (Not taking crap doesn't constitute whining)

I could shred another persons car, selling price, etc all day but, why????

I thought enthusiast forums were about learning from each other and sharing knowledge... not busting people's balls or finding ways to be insulting.

                      For the record... Previous ownership history;

                      1977 525i

                      1979 323i Hartge
                      1998 323i Convertible

                      2010 330i
                      2012 Mini Cooper

I believe that I would not qualify as a noob.

Thanks for all of your input.

Doc, you have no clue about E30 values. I know exactly how much it costs to restore BMWs, my uncle does it with his 2002s. Only he is smarter than to try to peddle a super high mileage E30 with a couple of new parts thrown at it and expect to nearly get what he put in out of it. That's not how used cars work.

Clearly, I don't attach the same value to the presence of your investments as you do. If you replace the aged differential, would that present the same value to you as it does to me? You know the cost, I only know that it is slightly less likely to fail in the near future. I'd probably want to the entire car with half as many miles instead of just a fresher diff. You don't just add that cost to the total and expect to pass it along to the next potential buyer.

But more importantly, if I was new to a forum, I wouldn't try to bash the OGs and tell them that they simply "sold their car too cheap" when it is the new guy completely disconnected about value. That's just dumb.

So is assuming everyone on the board lives with their parents. But honestly, you made an ass out of yourself far earlier than that.

I have the receipts from the motor, compression certification, etc.. Good grief.. Perhaps you are right.

I don't think I really belong here anymore. this forum has gotten really nasty.

                          Seriously contemplating parting it out.

If a 200k MILE e30 is worth what mine is. I should be able to take all of the new stuff off, sell it, and still get 3k from the new paint with a 150k motor in it...LMAO

It isn't about learning how to shrug things off, it is about not taking crap from people who give it to you for no reason.

Where did you get it from and why throw so money down the cylinders? Do you think anyone else cares for a $4kay M20B25?

I don't think you did to begin with, honestly.

Only it's not worth that much. And good luck finding anyone who wants to spend half of what you did on a stock M20. . . maybe you'll luck out and find an idiot like yourself. And put in stock suspension, and how much you'd get for used dampers/springs? Used tires? Used oil? And any idiot knows those Borbets are exactly "light".

                              There's good reason.

I love r3v dearly, but sometimes you guys need to shut the fuck up.
To the OP: Shut your waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesy mouth, you need to take the 'thread shitting' like someone with a pair of balls. You sound like a bitch.
To the rest of you: The car is not obscenely overpriced, maybe a bit high but not high enough that you need to make rude comments, they are uncalled for. A simple 'glws' will suffice.

Oh, glws, OP. Your car is purty.
