SOLD!
To a lot of you on here this car will look very familiar. Thats because the previous owner was a member here on R3V. The previous owner is the one who performed the actual dropping of the S52 and ZF transmission into the cradle but never got the car to fire up/drive. I took the project over in may of 2012, got the S52 to run and completed the project. The car needed A LOT of work to be completed and able to drive. I had to source out a driveshaft, brake booster/master cylinder, do a complete custom exhaust system, find a E36 M3 shift linkage, a 540 3.5 inch HFM, brand new battery and a few more things.
Enough about that. What you're looking at is a 1991 AW 318iS SLICKTOP (non sunroof for those who dont know) which is S52 swapped and paired with a ZF trans. Complete cardinal red interior which is in good shape for it being a 91. only flaw is on the drivers seat, it has a rip on the bolster the size of a dollar bill. Other than that, it is pretty clean. The car does hold a salvage title. I looked around the car and every vin matches other than the front passenger fender. Every other vin matches the car. To me it appears that is the only place which it was damaged. Obviously it is fixed now, pics will show.
The original cluster's odometer said 184k miles so thats what the chassis has on it. The previous owner stated the swap(S52, ZF transmission was bought from a BMW recycler center with 80k on it)
During the time I've owned it I got the swap to start and run, paid a shop to do a complete custom exhaust, swapped out the dashboard for a less cracked one( original dash had a million cracks) the one i swapped in was an extra one i had with only one crack down the middle.
The car has REVSHIFT 24v motor mounts and a REVSHIFT 24v guibo.
E36 M3 shift linkage with a ZHP shift knob.
Supersprint catback exhaust, no CATs, and ebay SS rep headers.
The car runs and drives smoothly. Motor does not misfire, no check engine, very strong S52. This car rips!
The wheels are replica BBS RS. Decent tires all around. Euro plate filler included. Original Euro smily projector headlights!
Yes, sadly, the engine bay was painted tiffany blue by the previous owner before she and her boyfriend dropped the motor in :curse: there is a thread on here all about it, im sure many of you know it LOL
Very clean, RARE combination E30. A slick top AW with cardinal red e30 is not on every corner.
Unfortunately I have recently ran into some personal issues and will not get to finish this car any time soon, i figured why not let some one else finish it and enjoy the car. Only things it needs to be a complete swap is: intake needs to be finished, a proper chip should be put in it, it is a OBD1 S52 swap. and the 4.10 diff needs to go!
Let me know what trades you may have, looking for a street bike in particular.
CBR, GSXR, Ninja. Let me know what you have.
Straight cash wise, asking $6500.
Thats all i could think of right now. Let me know if you have any questions. Here are some pics.
