    1988 325ix for trade. Interested in 318i/325e

not interested in letting it go right now.

I have a 1988 325ix. I've spent a year fixing it up, it's pretty cool, fun to drive. here's why I want to trade, awd is kind of boring and it gets combined 21-23mpg, I see 25mpg highway. I'd like to get that 30mpg eta gas mileage or 35mpg 318i gas mileage. I'm also selling my rx8, so I'd like 4 doors. I'm not dead set on this, but if we can find a mutually beneficial trade, I'm totally up for that. Or something utilitarian, like a truck. Or a touring. A 4 cyl tacoma would be pretty sweet. I'd trade for a stock 4 door eta + cash.

    Specs:

    OEM:

    Lachssilber 325ix.
    Cardinal interior.
    Manual Transmission.
    Sport seats.
    13 button obc.
    Mtech1 steering wheel.
    Rear spoiler.
    IX body kit.
    Maplight mirror.

    Suspension:
    Bilstein HD shocks.
    H&R sport springs (cabrio, ix.)
    Front and rear strut bars.
    New front swaybar endlinks.
Also, i have the stock suspension, includes an extra set of front struts. shocks have ~3000 miles on them.

    Brakes:
Front slotted rotors. (rear oem solids.)
    Hawk ceramic brake pads.
    Stainless steel brake lines.

    Exterior:
    IS Lip.
    Depo smoked headlights.
    DDM tuning 55w HIDs, 5000k.
    Red tails.
    GPS motorsports banner!
    Plastic bumper conversion.

    Interior:

GE keyless entry. 2 keys, both cut. Blinkers flash when locking and unlocking.
    Crack free, pristine dash.
    OBC LED conversion.
Cluster was rebuilt, odometer gears replaced.
    Pioneer DEH-7200HD stereo.

    Engine:
Machined and decked head. Rebuilt. 3 angle valve job.
Headgasket and timing belt were done March 2012.
    17.5lb injectors.
    55lph TRE fuel pump.
    Cap and Rotor.
    Spark Plug wires.
    AEM cone filter amazingness.
    Aluminum radiator.
Silicon hoses. (except upper radiator hose.)
Painted valve cover and intake manifold. sanded extrusions. (painted red. concept was better than execution, honestly. 4/10)

    The Bad:
Rust under the rear tie down and around license plate lights.
Transfercase is blown. I have a good transfercase that will be included in the trade.
    AC does not work.
front seats are torn up. drivers side worse than the passenger side.
the hood's paint is pretty terrible.

Send me a PM and I can text you a lot more pics.

Please note, it has chrome kidneys now.

Always loved those RS on your '88/ Are you hanging on to wheels, or parting separately?

Been looking for the RS047 for a while/ Seem pretty rare

                bump for m42s.

i'd also consider 318tis or a clean 328i. if it's an e36, the RSs could be negotiated with the ix if the car is nice enough.

Not affiliated...but looks like an honest little car.

Pretty clean body, unmolested engine bay, untorn seats.

I was thinking about buying if I didn't have 5 cars in my driveway haha

I forgot to install 1 led light bulb in the cluster. Tach is not lit. Yes, I can fix this for you.
It just tore an axle boot on the passenger side. I redid this axle a year ago. Lowering the car puts a lot of stress on the rubber cv boots, combined with the heat from the exhaust manifold, you should not expect the boot under it to last.
