** Update** The water pump started making some nasty noises this week. So, instead of passing the car on to someone with potential troubles, Idecided to replace the water pump this week. While i'm in there i'm going to replace the timing belt and thermostat as well. I should be finished this weekend. This is an original one family, two owner car that was bought by the father new and passed down to the son. It comes with a ton of maintenance records and the original window sticker and invoice. The car has been well maintained, has a crack-free dash, and the odometer and trip meter actually work. The mileage is 225 K. The stock stereo has been replaced with a JVC head unit and Kenwood speakers. It also has a new power antenna. In the past few weeks, I have replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, driver door handle and trim, oil pressure switch, fuel filter rewired the stereo correctly, polished and tucked the bumpers, refinished most of the trim( including new roundels front and rear), changed the oil and filter, changed trans fluid, and performed a valve adjustment. A new alternator was installed before I got the car, new rear brakes, and new Falken tires all around. The car runs and drives great and has original paint that is not perfect, but still shows nicely. The valvetrain is a little noisy, but what m20 isn’t with a few miles. It rides so smoothly at 80 on the highway, it feels like a new 7 series. The car doesn’t leak a drop of anything, has a clean Autocheck, never been in an accident, and has no rust.
The only things that I have not completely sorted out are the rear windows, which are not currently working, and the air conditioning , which works but needs recharging frequently. The interior is nice overall, but there is some wear and a hole on the driver’s bolster. As I stated earlier, this car wouldn’t win Pebble Beach, but it’s a nice clean car with a good history that would make a nice daily driver. In my opinion, the only thing this car needs to make it really nice is a little drop (springs), some nice wheels, and a little nicer exhaust. It also gets good gas mileage with the ETA. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or offers. Check out all pics at
