Up for sale is my DD 1989 BMW 325i. I've had the car for roughly 3 years and in that time have done a TON to it. When I first bought it I went through the whole car and did the following:
- SUSPENSION: Replaced EVERY bushing in the suspension. This includes the control arms and bushings, tie rod ends, sway bar links, rear subframe bushings (big job), shock mounts, front wheel bearings, NEW E36 steering rack mod (quicker ratio), etc. (all GOOD brands like Lemforder, Febi, etc.) I also installed Bilstein Sport Struts with H&R springs as well as brand new rotors, pads and brake lines with ATE Super Blue fluid.
- ENGINE: Mild engine refresh. I removed the intake manifold, and everything up replacing every gasket I could get to short of removing the head. The compression numbers were roughly 165 +/-3 across all cylinders so it was fine. Everything I could clean up I did. I also installed a new fuel filter, plugs, filters, timing belts, accessory belts, rebuilt alternator, exhaust hangers and flushed all of the fluids (power steering, diff, tranny, brake, etc.). New battery in Nov. 2011 as well.
- DRIVELINE: I installed a Z3 short shift kit and replaced all of the fluids. I also rebuild ALL of the shift linkage and put in a new CSB and guibo. Clutch is great and engages perfectly! Has a is 3.73 LSD.
- INTERIOR: I installed a MTech 1 steering wheel, redyed the rear parcel shelf, installed a different headunit, dyed the door panels (all), put in cleaner carpet and did a general deep cleaning. There are a couple small cracks in the dash but nothing major. The seats are originally out of an Acura RSX and look good. I may or may not dye them black before selling but they look good and are comfortable. The driver's knee bolster is missing. All switches work as they should but the AC does not work (aux fan still comes on when pressed though). The heat though works very well. The odometer quit working and I have not had time to change the gears yet. The sunroof and rear windows are manual.
- EXTERIOR: There are a number of dings, chips and dents to the outside and small bit of rust on the rear valance (common on these cars). The paint WILL shine up like new but needs buffing. The hood and passenger front fender are a bit more fader than others as I believe they were replaced in the past. The rear spoiler is trying to lift a bit but an extra trunk is included. The car DOES come with two others doors are well if the buyer wants to change those out. The car has HIDs and good working foglights. The Euro grills are NOT included.
- ISSUES: The parking brake doesn't want to engage. I think it needs adjusting. The brake lining light is on (I need to replace it but brakes have less than 6k miles on them. . .). The ABS light is on but I know it is just a wheel sensor (the light isn't on when the car is started before it moves. Simple to replace. . .). Coolant light is on but after replacing nearly all of the sensors I think it is the coolant level sensor. It had as much coolant as when I first filled it up so it is NOT losing any fluid and has never overheated. I'll try to fix what I can prior to anyone buying it.
Overall the car is a BLAST to drive! Very fun to run around with and just DD. It has NEVER left left me stranded. Starts right up without a hitch and just goes. It has been more reliable than even new cars I've owned! It will make a great run around for anyone looking for on of these cars. It could use a little cosmetic love (it was my 2nd car so I never got around to too much cosmetic wise. . .) but underneath it is SOLID! I've replaced nearly everything on it and it shows!
For Price I would like to get $3500obo as it sits. I can remove the wheels in place of the original 14" basketweaves with good tires to knock $100 off (found out the tires on them are dry rotted so I'll grab new 14" tires to put on the weaves for the sale) and I can pull the bilsteins and H&R's for another $500, etc. It currently has H&R sways, euro grills and a Sparco swaybar but those are coming off to go on my other E30 project.
*I know there are much cheaper E30's out there but most of them need going through and a ton of parts. This one has been run through thoroughly and is ready to go. I'm in no rush to sell but will entertain reasonable offers. I also understand I got the car for reasonably cheap but that really shouldn't matter at all. This is a GREAT car and will make an awesome DD. It has for me!
If you have any questions please let me know!

Also below are some of my former cars to give you the idea of how picky I usually am. This car was a bit different being a project DD but still got some of my love!
