1990 BMW E30 325i Sedan $4000 OBO
Production date 1/1990
Odometer stopped at 200640 prior to me purchasing the car (I’ve put 16 miles a day 5 days a week on it since I purchased it in June 2012 (about 5k total)
Oil changed 1 week ago and once not long after purchase
Alpine White II on tan comfort interior in very good shape (rear seat has leather seat back (not sure why…) and I’ve had the fronts covered the entire time I’ve owned it. The headliner is in great shape (perhaps replaced?) as well as the carpets and door cards.
5 Speed manual
Working cruise control
Mtech Wheel
Privat Remember wheels (BBS RS). New tires purchased right after car was purchased
Bilstein Sport shocks
H&R springs (according to PO)
Mark D./E.A.T. 91 Octane chip (6900 RPM limit), original chip included
BavAuto ignition wires
New coolant system (installed by PO)
Replaced blower fan when purchased
New brake pressure regulator and brake fluid flushed and filled with ATE super blue (performed 3 months after purchase)
BMW IS front lip
French High beams (yellow) and Euro HID smileys (may have a spare bulb or two as well) and yellow fog lights
JVC KDR530 head unit with usb and bluetooth capability (needs JVC bluethooth module) and remote control. It has a multitude of color displays but is set up to match the factory interior lights. FLi speakers, 41/2 fronts (120w) and 6x9 rears (270 w) installed just after purchase of vehicle.
Keyless entry and alarm with starter disable
Paint is good from far, but far from good. Looks good when clean, but up close, not so hot (perhaps a good detail and clay bar?)
Fuel sending unit is bad but reserve light has served me well the entire time I’ve owned the car
Glove box hinges were destroyed, so I removed the glove box and most people don’t even notice it’s missing
Dash has a few cracks but dash cover is new from PO
AC and components present but does not blow cold (perhaps a recharge?)
It appears that one of the PO’s removed the heater radiator, no heat but I haven’t ever needed it here
A couple visible door dings on each rear passenger door and a small dent on lower passenger front door
Left rear passenger door lock does not lock with keyless entry system
Left rear passenger window does not roll up or down (ruled out the window switch already)
The rest of the power windows work well as do the power mirrors and sunroof
Ignition keys and trunk keys don’t match (trunk key will lock and unlock the car from the trunk)
Small crack in driver door pocket and some of the tabs are broken
The car runs great, starts easily, idles cleanly and still pulls hard when needed. It holds the road in corners great and is a blast to drive. It doesn’t have any leaks that I can see nor does it burn any oil. Mechanically the car is sound and has given me no problems since fixing a few minor things. Most of the needs are cosmetic in nature and I simply haven’t taken the time do them.
I don’t know the full history of the car. The guy I purchased it from bought it 3 months before I did with the intention of turning it into a track car with his sister. They replaced some things as noted and then she decided she no longer had the time and needed a wagon for her kiddos instead of a track car…Consequently, they never got it smogged and registered and I ate the cost for the late registration and smog. It passed smog easily and the tags are good until April 2014.
I typically only drive it to and from work which is 8 miles each way. I have used it a handful of other times but nothing significant. The title is clear and I have it in hand.
I have a few random parts as well as the model designation badge. The M stripes are vinyl and can be removed easily with a bit of elbow grease (I’ll be happy to remove them for whomever buys the car if they hate them)
I’ve had 3 other E30s (325e, 318is and 325es), an E36 318is, an E46 330i and an E39 M5. This car has gotten more thumbs up and compliments than any of the others. Feel free to contact me with questions. I'll try to get some better pictures over the weekend. PM or email me at f-u-t-p-o-n-g @ gmail.com (remove the dashes obviously...)Thank you!
