Detroit, MI: 1989 e30 BMW 325ix 5 speed all wheel drive

Up for sale is my 89 e30 BMW 325ix. Enthusiast owned (I also have an e39 m5 and e53 X5 4.8is). I love this car, purchased it a few years ago from the original owner in Windsor, ON. 2.5L straight six + awd. I have essentially the entire history of this car in maintenance records, as well as the original lease agreement and purchase information. You will not find a car with better records. Red on black, sport seats, dinan exhaust and ECU, Mini Cooper 17” wheels + 15” original BBS basketweaves + 15” Borbet wheels + an additional set of 15” Wheels (all the wheels besides the mini cooper wheels on the car need new tires). New cross drilled rotors and brake pads. Frenched high beams + blacked out projector beam crosshair headlights + HID’s. Mtech 3 spoke steering wheel also included.

I have an e46 drivers side sport seat in black (heated with all controls + pig tail), and an e46 center console. Google both of these an you will see these parts are commonly swapped into the e30.

The car has a lot of what I call quirks. This is a car that should go to a car guy and not a 16yr old, or someone looking for a perfect car. Corrosion is definitely starting to show, passenger fender being the worst (I have really good shape replacement fenders in the same color that are yours to take and bolt on, as well as a corrosion free trunk lid). It originally had a Canadian spec cluster that I swapped in for a US spec cluster. Unfortunately the odometer on the us spec cluster and the fuel gauge are not functioning properly. You can swap the original one back in without issue. Rear windows stopped rolling down (could be a fuse). Car recently developed an issue where it will momentarily stall out at WOT around 3krpm. Everything I searched on the forums indicated that it’s a loose ground. Original cluster had about 140k miles when I took it out, I’ve probably driven another 8k miles since swapping in the new one.

The goods still outweigh the bad, everything can be fixed in general pretty easily. I’m just trying to be upfront and honest about the car. I’m starting a new job soon where I’ll be working 12 hour days and occasional Saturdays, my days of wrenching on cars are over. I really want to see this car go into the right hands, and driven. It has a lot of life left in it.

With the maintenance history, the extras, I'm asking $3700. Come see the car, drive it, I can go over everything in person. I really want to see this car go to a good home. Contact me at 313.799.3388

Am I right in saying that was worth more than $3700? Seems like a solid 55 to me

Was priced like an IS. I'm with Iamalexnotyou on that, easily worth 5500.

damn those wheels look good. Anything special to make them fit?
Haven't you ever seen Russian Nesting Dolls? They work like that.
