Is there a place I can get a genuine oem bmw head gasket ? I check online and oem headgaskets are made by Reinz.

Had a question this guy said it had 3.11 lsd....my research shows that bmw made a 3.11 for the 323i but it wasnt a lsd. Is it possible that it has a 3.11 lsd? Is it possible he welded it ? I just hope I wasn't fed another lie from this guy.sigpicComment

While I'm no BMW expert, I would think the 3.11 is a unique differential in itself....seems like an odd value you just don't see ever. Is it possible? I guess anything is possible and I don't see any value gained by lying about it.1997 Artic Silver M3

I don't kmow what your problem with me is; I'm only offering to look over the tune and make sure it's safe enough to have not caused any problems. Didn't say anything about tuning it for him. I don't know why you try to crap all over me at every chance. Just makes you seem like a dick.

My apologies. Just have seen first hand what happens when someone's maps are just plugged in. There's a long thread on e30tech for map sharing and people think what works for one car will work for another.Comment

AGREED...I only run genuine BMW headgaskets. I'v put all of them next to each other and the genuine BMW ones is way superior.
Sorry to hear about the car man I saw this car in person at BF east and was clean but I can't speak for the engine or performance of it. He took the car to the same tuner I did and I can assure you the tune wasn't off. Maybe a bit of abuse/little fun at high psi who knows. Anyways im sure its an easy fix and you can have it up and running in no time.

Could have been taken for a joyride by the trucker!
Mitch's shop shipped out a 1000hp 993 and when the owner checked the footage of the smartycam installed it showed the trucker showboating in a parking lot for all the truckers lol. Just absolutely beating on the car

Beefjurky, thanks ive followed your build thread for quire some time....Awesome car ! I'll get her running again. Monday we are pulling the head and see what we find. Firebird and squid I appreciate any help...im not familiar with megasquirt....he didnt tell me what version he had or anything. So im in the dark. Im gonna start by simply lowering the boost to about 10lbs or maybe 15lbs and be happy with that until I can get it to San Antonio to get it tuned properly. I do know he had it tuned where you tuned yours beefjurky so I believe the tune might be fine....maybe he just got a little over excited and set boost way to high just as you said.
