SOLD! Headed out to Cali...
Well, I don't particularly want to sell this car, as I had a lot planned for it, but I am running out of space with 4 cars right now, so it must go.
So I purchased this one back in August of 2012. I was looking for as rust free of a car as I could find without travelling across the country. Luckily I found this one fairly close, and it was completely rust free as it lived most of its life in Texas and Oklahoma. To add to it, most of the paint is in very condition and only shows signs of typical Delphin fading on the passenger door. Unfortunately, the car is currently automatic, but this was a trade off I was willing to make for a non-rotted chassis.
I had plans to both convert this eta to manual and do the 2.7i thing. As such, I have accumulated quite a few parts for these projects (more details below) and these parts will be included in the sale.
So here are some of the details of the car:
Exterior:
-Satin black euro bumpers
-All hardware and mounting brackets are brand NEW
-Bumper trim was cleaned up and repainted
-Turn signals modified to accept US bulb sockets
-Bottlecaps replaced with good condition basketweaves
-Euro pre-facelift headlights (H1/H1)
Interior/Electronics:
-Euro analog clock
-JVC headunit with aux input
-318ti antenna (no more crappy retractable)
-Red needles on cluster
-New battery
-Dashboard is mostly crack free, very small crack starting in "tray" area on passenger side.
-New odometer gears
Drivetrain/Maintenance:
-Timing belt and tensioner
-Waterpump and thermostat
-All new cooling system hoses
-Newer coolant reservoir
-New valve cover gasket and painted valve cover
-New cap and rotor
-New air filter
So as it currently stands, this car runs and drives great. I've never had an issue with it since I've owned it. The cluster broke around 68k but it is believed to have 100-120k. I have no way to determine exactly but that is what the PO told me so take that with a grain of salt. With that being said, the car does have some minor issues, that I will attempt to fix as I get time.
Issue:
-Oil pan gasket leaks (have new gasket, need to install)
-Power steering low pressure hose leaks
-Door locks are either mismatched or inoperable. Only the drivers door and ignition work. Central locking is functioning. The driver's lock will lock everything including gas lid.
-A/C needs some work. It worked when I bought it in 2012, but there appears to be a leak in one of the hoses. Aux fan works and comes on when A/C button is pressed.
-Door brake in driver's door is missing (not sure what the story is here...)
-It's slow, it's an ETA, and it's automatic...
So to resolve those issues, here are the parts I am including with the sale of this car:
2.7i Swap Parts:
-Good condition 885 head (currently disassembled) came off a great running 325is (PO switched to a Bimmerheads performance head)
-AFM
-Intake manifold
-Fuel rail, FPR, 11 injectors
-Throttle body boot
-M20B25 pullies
-Extra ETA valve cover
-173 ECU
-Throttle body
Manual Swap Parts:
-2 Getrag 260's (1 has a couple broken mounting ears)
-Early sheet metal shifter console (sandblasted and repainted)
-Assortment of shift levers and selector rods
-Mounting hardware (trans to block)
So for all of this,
-With the pictured wheels $4400 OBO (wheels and tires are brand new, < 500 miles on the set)
-With OE 14" basketweaves $3750
